Hi, Someone asked in another thread how to find a profitable niche quickly. Just in case this is something that's holding up a lot of people I thought I'd give you a quick insight into how to get your head around this problem. Follow this simple plan: 1 - Go to Googletrends/hottrends Find a product or service, or a subject that your gut tells you people probably want to buy. 2 - Go to Google and do a quick search - check the advertisers to see what's being promoted. Many times there will be a clickbank product somewhere up there. 3 - Become an affiliate of one of the products (or find/create an alternative) 4 - Pay close attention to the way the ad you spotted was worded and the page anyone would end up on and model your own based on that. 5 - Setup your own PPC campaign and get the same traffic to your own link instead. 6 - Test and tweek to increase conversions and build a list to promote backend products to. This may sound simple but I've done this in 5 minutes before and made a sale within an hour just by demonstrating this to people. You can of course use various tools to show you what these sites are bidding on and how much, plus how much traffic they get etc. if you're really paranoid. but I don't want to make this too complicated. most of the top search engines have some sort of "top searches / trends"

To expand on this a little bit, once you find a profitable niche, I'd find one or two sites that are doing well there and plug them into Quantcast.com Sometimes they don't always have stats on them but some sites you can find stats on them and Quantcast also shows similar sites which you can research and see what kind of traffic they are getting. Just something really simple yet really effective in my book. |

Feel free to expand on this, I just wanted to make the initial post simple because it really can be, and free and quick.

Andy - great post, yes I've done this before too...and don't just limit it to Clickbank, many of the more specific Google Trends Hot Trends are for very specific real stuff...find an affiliate program through CJ, Linkshare or others and use the same steps you mention. Yes, I've experienced the same thing, sales within 1-hour. Some of these will be short-lived - a few days, others will hang in there for months. I started doing this using Amazon, but then they changed the rules to not allow direct PPC links to Amazon affiliate URL's, bummer... Jeff |

You are spot on with the simplicity of this Andy.. We had a lengthy discussion in this thread about this very topic: Who Wants To Make Money Right Now?...Yes, Right NOW! Simple, yet powerful Funny that, most income streams start like this ![]() Peace Jay |

Right... The irony is - most beginners think it sounds too simple and don't do it. I've done this on tons of niches from Bonsai trees to exercise bikes, and ALWAYS made a sale within hours. Andy Quote:

The great thing is Andy, you don't even need to use trends. Trends might allow a quicker sale, but the basic principle you've outlined can be done in ANY market, on ANY product (providing that there are buyers of course). The problem is, people try and create thousand keyword Adwords campaigns, pay web designers, agonize over list building and worry about the competition until they just run out of fuel and breakdown. The real beauty of this IM game is that you can "cream off" thousands of low hanging fruit in hundreds of thousands of markets, all of which are going under the radar and potentially making you a LOT of daily revenue. Why don't we all do it? Distraction, or choosing something with more substance perhaps...who knows. Either way, it's all there for the taking, even though there are probably MORE competitors in the world of online marketing than ever before. |

You're right Nick - I actually added that because I know people use not knowing where to start as a problem |
