Who do you recommend for low cost Web hosting with an SSL for a SINGLE site?

I've currently got many sites on 2 hostgator shared server business packages but the monthly rate is going up and I would like each each site to have its own account with an SSL

    If I was you, I would wait until Black Friday at the end of this month as there are normally a lot of hosting deals flying around.

    Sure you don't want to hear it, but hosting is the one thing that shouldn't be skimped on. Figure out how to get the sites making enough to pay for good hosting, rather than trying to find "cheaper".

    If you want to get the cheapest price, that would be unmanaged VPS/Dedi. Install the OS+CP on it and you're good to go with more than what a webhost would give you, and the only limit would be your hardware configuration and server's internet connection/bandwidth. The benefits are too many to count.

    Hostgator shared hosting price is quite higher compared to namecheap.com as per http://www.cheapsslcouponcode.com/store/namecheap.com because namecheap is giving shared hosting at only $7.9 for one year and if you want ssl certificate within this package then it is providing ssl certificate at very nominal price $1.99/yr only. So you should check it.

    HostGator was sold to EIG sometime back so that might explain the price hike. I would recommend to get a good hosting account and get the SSL separately from namecheap, If you google you can find a good cert for around $6-7/Year.

    Make sure that your host supports SNI (Server Name Indication) so you can install the cert without paying for an expensive dedicated IP.
