I do a fair bit of this, do you know what niches you're interested in? Or do you know how you plan on driving traffic?

    Hey Tacassim,

A good place for affiliate marketing is to search in this forum for "how to do affiliate market" and other related terms. It will point you in the right direction to great, useful threads. Also, you can check out Affilorama for video tutorials, guides, etc. Affilorama is all about learning about affiliate marketing. Hope it helps. :-)

If you would like to be a good affiliate marketer, you must have a website. Without any website, you may do the affiliate. But it would better for you to have a website. You can do this work by the social media sites, Forum site, Blog commenting. I mean, you need to create an ID in any affiliate site, then you will apply for affiliate link for a product or, service. If the owner of the product or, service accept your application, you will get a unique link. then you need to put the link in various place. If someone buy that product or, service by clicking that link, you will get paid the commission. Thanks a lot.

It's very tough for a nubbie to get any traction in affiliate marketing online. The statistics are that 97% of all new marketers will spend a lot of money and not be able to earn very much at all because of the way the system is set up. If you can afford it, the best way to get started in this business is to get yourself a mentor who guide your efforts and cut your learning curve so you don't go broke before you learn what you need to learn to start earning some money. In fact, I would say you can't not afford it. There are many good mentors to choose from. Find one that you feel comfortable with and stick with that one. Do not continually sample the flavor of the month! Running after 'the next shiny object' every few weeks will almost guarantee failure. Good luck...

Hey first you want to decide what niche you are going to target the most common ones are health, wealth, and relationships.Go to an affiliate network like Click Bank and create an account. There is also Jvzoo but most of the vendors there will not approve you if you are new and don't have sales. You will not have that problem with Click Bank.

Next you would need to create lead capture page to collect emails, and an autoreponder service like get response. You advertise your lead capture page to people interested in your niche. And once you collect the email you follow up with a series of emails promoting a affiliate product. This is just an over view but this is how most marketers make there money by collecting and sending emails.

Erob, I am in the middle of creating an affiliate website. I tried to register with Amazon affiliates however I didn't have a website. Do they just want an active website? I am just a little concerned if my content will be good enough. Don't you need a website for clink bank?

This, but most of the three niches mentioned are unethical. There are real helpful products in them, but they are few and far between.

Lots of people get started in affiliate marketing as it seems simple to get going, and it doesn't have high upfront costs. The entire stocking, handling, and shipping process is seen to by the vendor, not the webmaster. Nonetheless, you have to work hard in order to sustain yourself through affiliate marketing alone.

Sign up with an affiliate marketing company which always adds new products to it's lineup. Work with reputable companies to retain customers and increase profits. Companies based on fads or a single product won't give you the results you want.

There are coaches here, it's a good place to learn, but be willing to use money (wisely though) this is where you will need guidance of a mentor. Affiliate marketing is really good, in fact it's one of the best ways to gain entry to online business.

You will need to be prepared to learn as the learning curve can be steep, you want to understand lead generation - traffic generation, blogging, mini site creation etc!

You're in the right place dear... I would suggest to you that at this stage you devote your time to learning only.. Stay in the learning mode. This forum is the best place where you can get help, learn and grow.
My advice to you is that do not start buying products left and right before you are really confident about what you've learnt. I've been there and I wasted tons. I learned the hard way.. take it from me
    Have a wonderful journey

Don't you need a website for clink bank?
You don't need an actual web site to do affiliate marketing.

Some affiliate platforms may require a web site because it shows a certain level of effort and commitment.

Although not recommended, you can send traffic directly to affiliate offers. The best way to promote affiliate products is to build a mailing list of interested prospects you can market to over time.

You can learn A LOT about affiliate marketing right here on this forum. Learn to use the search function near the top of this forum to find tips on any area of affiliate marketing, such as getting traffic, increasing conversions, etc.

Also, I would recommend watching videos on YouTube. Just do searches there using phrases such as : "affliliate marketing methods" or "make money as an Amazon affiliate" or "earn money as a Clickbank affiliate" etc. etc. etc.

    Good luck !

    Hey there!

The core principals are fairly simple...

Affiliate marketing is just selling other peoples stuff and the company pays you a commission on the sale.

They know you sent the customer because when you register with a 3rd party organization like (clickbank.com) you get a customized link that if someone clicks on your customized link and buys that product you earn a commission of the sale.

That's how affiliate marketing works, now the best way to go about it?

I'd say that the most "newbie friendly" way would be email marketing since it is the basic of all online business.

    How do you do this?

Create a free giveaway to entice people to join your email list (video series, PDF, eBook, etc.)

Create a squeeze page to promote your free offer and for them to signup

Create a followup series using an autoresponder like Aweber, or Mailchimp, or Getaresponse (I prefer Aweber) and make the followup series 5-10 emails long where the 1st email delivers the free product and then it gives some helpful tips and the last email promotes a product using your affiliate link

Then promote your squeeze page and once someone signup they'll automatically be taken through your autoresponder series that you setup and hopefully at the end, end up buying the product that you promote.

You can market your website many different ways, but my favorite 2 methods are:

Solo Ads - You pay someone who already has a giant email list to send out an advertisement for you and you pay for a certain amount of clicks (1 click = $0.50-$1.00 usually)

Forum Marketing - This is a free method, that I'm actually doing right now see the link below this post? That is my signature and when I help people out a lot they click the link and signup for my email list and I gain a new subscriber. If I help out a lot of people a lot of people click and subscribe

    Hope this was helpful

It's pretty much all there is to it, there are some "pro tips", but I wouldn't worry about those really until you make your first sale

Some pro tips are - Have your "Thank you Page" for your squeeze page be your affiliate offer. This page usually just says "Thank you for signing up!", but you can change it so when someone signs up they go directly to your affiliate offers sales page so you have the chance to make a sale that instant.

Another "Pro Tip" might be... Buying solo ads until you reach 1,000 subscribers (which isn't THAT many) and then signing up for an AdSwap website where the minimum of subscribers you need is 1,000 and then finding other people who are interested in AdSwapping with you that have a close number of subscribers and it's completely free. They just send an ad promoting you to their list and you send an ad to your list promoting them.

That's pretty much it, for "The Game" I suppose. It's not crazy hard, but it can be if you don't have a clue where to start.

    Hope this was helpful

    Take care guys,

    Adam

It's in your best interest to get your own site and autoresponder if you want to promote Clickbank offers. I believe sites like Amazon affiliate program doesn't allow linking from email, but Clickbank allows it. Just enter "affiliate marketing" or "affiliate marketing tips" in the search bar above, and you will find everything you're looking for.

    Hi tac:

Please do not go to UDEMY where you can take a $299 course... for only one dollar using a special coupon. Better hurry... the offer will soon expire. Yeah, you will not learn that way. Do wish it was that easy. Still, you can sign up on amazon. Find a product you like and start promoting it with social media and web pages.

I have found that amazon the most easy. That is because it has lots of products and services. Find a few items that you like in a niche that is narrow. Competition is your enemy. Then get to work on creating compelling content that is very unique.

Few people are going to be as aggressive as a person who wants success. Keep on trying. Do not give up ever. Remember, winners never quit and quitters never win.

Start a long-term business by providing immense value to a niche, create content and generate traffic, develop a connection, build your email list and then monetize by promoting your own or affiliate products to your list of loyal and engaged fans.

I would recommend investing in a course to follow along and learn from on here or from any other affiliate network like JVZOO or clickbank.

    Hy,

    I have a question ( I know I have many questions....)
I heard some people for affiliates, that $8 articles/ product reviews are not worth it.

    Is that true?
Does affiliates, amazon affiliates need written product reviews who costs $15 or more to make sales? That would be an huge investment when you planto build a website with 50 pages up.....

Can anyone give me an answer about that?

    best regards

marco you don't need all 50 articles to start. Around 10 is enough at the beginning.

The important thing is doing proper keyword research so it is easier to rank (if you go the SEO route).

$8 /500 words should give you a decent article, nothing exceptional but should do the job.
