Hey All,
I have seen that there is a list of 70 bookmarking sites here on the forum, but I think that it would be beneficial to everyone to have a list of ping sites. So, in the hopes that this community will come together, as it seems it does almost everytime, I propose that we compile a list of ping sites.

OR... you could go the much simpler route and use an automatic ping service that submits to all these sites at once, like:

Blog and Ping Tool - Use Pingler.com to Drive Traffic your Blogs and Websites

or

Ping-o-Matic!

Jared - I think hitting one site/service from your own blog is a bit better on hosting resources.

I am using King Ping - kping.com for some of my sites as a test. Stuff gets indexed pretty quickly using them.

just wondering do you use all those in the max ping plugin? or just a small selection like 10?

Compile all the lists here, then sort alphabetically
in an Excel file and remove duplicates.

I use ping software for auto pings,
rather then manual submission to sites like Pingoat.

If you have a number of websites or a hugh feed list,
a software program or ping service is the best method.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I was just thinking today, that I needed an up to date ping list. I have used Smart Update Pinger and MBP pinger, but my question has always been, how do you know if they are dupes or questionable sites?

Where do you get a reliable ping list?

I have compiled all the ping sites and input all them under Update Services for my blog and I notice most of the sites are invalid or not working. There are some duplication if you are using ping-o-matic or pingoat.

I wonder if any expert on ping can compile a list which are working and yet non-duplicate for non-technie? There is no point having a gigantic list which are non-working or duplication.

If you are using WP blog, you can update your ping on Update Services and it will automatically ping for you. However it will be good to make sure that there is no duplication for your pings list or else you may be branded a spammer.

I use ping software for auto pings, rather then manual submission to sites like Pingoat. If you have a number of websites or a hugh feed list, a software program or ping service is the best method. I have used Smart Update Pinger and MBP pinger, but my question has always been, how do you know if they are dupes or questionable sites? Where do you get a reliable ping list? thanks

There are some duplication if you are using ping-o-matic or pingoat. I wonder if any expert on ping can compile a list which are working and yet non-duplicate for non-technie? There is no point having a gigantic list which are non-working or duplication.
