Solid business strategies to start with

Hi, I am new to this forum and IM in general (I have been studying it for about a month). Among all the business strategies that I read about, I focused on these twos:
-Niche sites: create many niche sites, rank them high in google and monetize them with affiliate links or adsense.
-Kindle publishing: choose multiple niches, outsource the creation of your ebooks and sell them on amazon.

I have come to consider these twos strategies 'solid' because intuitively (with some hard work) I can feel that they work, but could you please suggest me other kind of business models to start with?
I am looking for other ideas before jumping into something concrete.
Thanks in advance.

    A couple examples

Community - The viability of the community model is based on user loyalty. Users have a high investment in both time and emotion. Revenue can be based on the sale of ancillary products and services or voluntary contributions; or revenue may be tied to contextual advertising and subscriptions for premium services.

Infomediary - Independently collected data about producers and their products are useful to consumers when considering a purchase. Some firms function as infomediaries (information intermediaries) assisting buyers and/or sellers understand a given market.

The only solid business strategy I know of is to build an Internet business instead of trying to just make money. Niche sites are great for earning a small income and they can be flipped for a fair amount; however I highly recommend building a long-term value-providing business around a niche that is profitable and you are passionate about.

You can use strategies such as kindle publishing to generate an income for that business and to increase your authority, while also building an email list, developing a connection with your audience, generating traffic and eventually monetising by creating and selling products that solve problems and actually help people.

Find market demand through online research. Create, license, or become an affiliate for a product or service which exactly addresses and solves the demand you have found. Build an email list of people in the audience of that demand by offering a free and partial or simple solution to a part of the demand. Sell into the demand and nurture your audience list to sell related offers and solutions in the same niche. Ramp up your traffic once you have a profitable selling system in place.

The best thing that happened to me during my Internet Marketing inception, was find a really good sponsor to take me under his wing and shoe me the ropes, so to speak.

There are a handful of programs that provide this sort of mentorship when you join, but my advice would be try and track one down that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to join.

Join and program under a good sponsor and start accumulating as much knowledge as possible. Then take that knowledge and begin to test and evaluate free and paid marketing strategies, etc. That is exactly what I have been doing for awhile now and slowly and surely I feel I am starting to make some solid headway. Good luck to you!

I would start with Niche Sites. You own the platform, and you can hone your skills as a marketer... which is the most important thing you could ever do in ANY business online (or off).

If you're looking for an online business model, I know that ecommerce is doing pretty good right now with sites like amazon and ebay killing it. And the barrier of entry into those types of businesses is pretty low.

As I say to all my newbie clients... NEVER try to implement more than one strategy at the same time.

Choose one of those strategies (they are both good), find a mentor who is super successful in that strategy and follow their teachings until you achieve success.

Personally, I'd go with the Kindle strategy as it is the best for passive income.

Can I ask you why do you think the Kindle strategy is the best?
