I use Facebook ads for 90% of my traffic. Looking at your site I would suggest changing your color scheme and trying to make your message a little easier to understand. What is your site about, it says meet people near you, but I would get a little more specific front and center. Have viewers fully understanding the benefits of your site within seconds of landing on it.

Find your community online and start providing value. Different communities congregate in different places online, though great places to search are related forums, facebook groups, twitter chats, sub-reddits, linkedin groups and G+ circles.

Once you find your audience, discover their problems and provide answers, content and solutions.

If you provide consistent value and offer a link on a profile page or signature area, they will seek out you.

Use paid advertising to get traffic. It really is as simple as that, and for some people online who are making BIG money.... this is all that they do! Do you notice that you don't see all the "big time" gurus participating daily here on the Warrior Forum? That's cause they're living the good life with math and paid advertising!

Yes paid advertising is one of the way to generate traffic, but if you're tight on cash that might not be an option.

There's also free traffic like doing SEO, commenting on blogs and forums like this one.

Try searching the warrior forum for things like: how to generate traffic or free traffic method or something along those lines.

I'm having a lot of success with PPV traffic, in particular Trafficvance, LeadImpact, and also 50onRed recently.

We worked with a client recently who launched their own app. We've seen great success with both Facebook (ads and boosted posts had a great ROI) and Instagram - mainly because this app deals with art, so sharing on platforms where images go over incredibly well is where we spend most of our time. Aside from Facebook ads (which now can be put on Instagram, as well), putting out content on a consistent basis that ties back to the main site has been a great way to boost downloads and drive traffic to the site.

I've gone the free traffic exchange route and seen a few other niches advertising there besides just Internet Marketing, but not often. It's been good for some small traffic, but it takes time to click and earn credits. Time vs. Money, what's more available? I decided time was more valuable and have stayed looked elsewhere.

For the dating niche I'd suggest paid FB ads. Some IM products are available offering cheap ways to get those ads (starting at $5) , so look into them. I don't have names of the products or the creators.

    I hope this helps.
