Linking an Articles to...

Hey Warriors,

Quick questions today

I just wrote some articles on one niche and now I will submit them to ezines. I want to promote a product (affiliate) and because ezines doesn't allow affiliate links i will have to link the article to something else first. Should I:

1) Link to a blogger blog and have a link to the website I am promoting there;

or

2) Link to a squeeze page offering a free report on the topic and then after the optin linking to the sales page of the website I am promoting.

I think I should go with option two because this way I could build a targeted list and then upsell it while testing my squeeze page but I really would like to hear your opinion on this.

Thanks all for your help

Best
James

Option 2, that is if you plan on going with this niche for the long term. If not, then option 1 would probably get you better conversions.

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

      Hey Allen,

Thanks for the help. Well actually I just wanted to make a couple of sales and to test if the niche is profitable. Is the blog option really going to give me better conversions?

      Thanks

From my own personal experience, yes. In the short term.

But after growing a list, you'll get more conversions through your list.

I'm with Allen, but one other option is easiest of all...

IF the merchant's sales page converts well, send the traffic directly to them through a simple TLD redirect, which EZA allows. This works if the merchant has a killer sales page. You'll know pretty fast, and if it flops you can go with #2.

So you can just start sub domains that redirect straight to the affiliate page? I guess I always assumed that was against TOS at ezinearticles. Can you also do this with CPA offers?

I see many article marketer do a redirect from their domain, most probably the site have content before getting approval, but became an affiliate link redirect after approval...!

        Is this the case..?
