I wish to report a WSO Thread owner for scam. Is there any viable means for doing so ?

Thanks

This is from the WSO sticky:

Rule #2: Reporting Fraudulent or Misleading Offers

If the seller fails to deliver the product or service as advertised, or does not honor a posted refund policy, please report the problem using the Report tool or contact the Helpdesk.

In your report, include enough details to allow them to look into the claim properly, including the thread Url and the seller's username. To report a problem, use the red triangle to the lower left of the post you're reporting. Fill in the necessary information and submit the form. Please keep in mind that investigating a claim requires time and multiple reports should not be submitted.

The forum is not part of the transaction between a buyer and seller. We have no ability to force a refund or any other action by a third party. We are limited to reducing or removing access by parties we believe may be acting improperly or who violate the forum or WSO rules as described here.

      Whoa -

Before reporting a WSO as a "scam" you should post in the thread of the WSO and ask about the problem. That gives the owner time to reply or explain if necessary.

It is only logical to ask the seller about a problem before reporting it as "scam" -wouldn't you think?

Yet though I see you've posted in several WSO threads and offered to review in others...I don't see a recent complaint posted. Have you contacted the seller - or asked for a refund?

Kay, you can't see his posts in the thread because the WSO has been removed. I don't know if that's a temporary or permanent removal. But I looked last night when I responded to this thread and OP had posted in the WSO and had also asked for a refund previously on the sellers visitor messaging saying that the seller was not responding to his requests through other contact channels. Other people in the thread were also complaining about not receiving their training and not getting any response from the seller.

The WSO itself was blatantly 100% blackhat about how to scam advertisers and get away with stealing money from these companies. It should have never even been approved but it was and the seller is still active on the forum as of right now.

It makes me wonder WHY someone would purchase a WSO on a "Blackhat" method to SCAM advertisers, and then WANT a REFUND when they get SCAMMED!

Yes, it's hard to have sympathy in this case. I saw this coming when I first saw the WSO posted last month. The training was being delivered only through future webinars. You didn't actually receive anything when you paid him $150. This is classic scammer tactic so he can withdraw the money before anyone has a chance to refund and file disputes.

Thanks for clarifying - have to wonder why such WSO threads are now allowed. I agree, though, when people buy what is clearly an unethical method...hard to sympathize much if they are scammed.

If it was removed (was the seller removed as well?) - that may be all the WF can do about it.

The seller is currently not banned and is showing as online right now. I don't know if that is just while they are communicating with him about this or if they are going to let him stay. I hope they don't allow him to change his WSO and repost it. I've seen that happen multiple times this year when people have been clearly ripped off by sellers. These guys are all still around and posting new WSOs. Even the ones who were banned got their accounts back after a week.

That's the WSO approval motto: Take the money and not give a shit If it's a scam. End of story.
