Banking my First ClickBank Cheque Today!

Just by way of providing encouragement for those that may be struggling or finding it hard to get started - today I received my first cheque from Clickbank - this is after well over six months of trial and error. I've got well over 100 registered domains and around 30 live websites now and only just starting to make regular money on a daily basis from clickbank.

There have certainly been times when I've really wondered if I was doing the right thing (I left a cushy job, corner office + 6 figure salary over a year ago to start my internet business - thinking it would be easy - don't do that!!!) but have learnt much over the course of the period - probably the biggest challenge for me has been to maintain focus - seeing one thing through to the end.

So in summary - never give up, keep going, keep learning and moving forward, always be doing something consistently towards achieving your goals!

That is a good reality check for many as well. It takes time and consistent action, but will pay off. Just do not look for the "instant windfall" by just launching a product and making thousands or more a day. It can happen, but 99% of the time it is for those that have put in the time learning by trail and error for months or even years and are able to leverage their knowledge, network, connections, friends, etc...

Maybe make a photocopy of the actual check before you go to the bank.

Then you can tape the copy of the check on your monitor or on the wall behind the computer.

This will give you more motivation to achieve your goals - you do have goals right?

Darren,

You've probably discovered that there are bank charges for your bank to process the US cheque/check and it usually takes at least 4 weeks for the bank to clear the funds.

However, once you've received 3 paper checks from Clickbank you'll be able to apply to Clickbank to have them send you the funds by direct deposit to your bank account.

If you go to your Clickbank account you'll find it is easy to opt for this. However, this option isn't available until you've fulfilled their requirements - mainly receiving 3 paper checks first.

With direct deposit, the funds are cleared and in your bank account within about a day. It's also faster than Paypal who take about 4 days for a transfer of funds from a Paypal account to your bank.

I hear what you say there vicone and I'll definitely go down the direct wire transfer way,

You should have seen the reaction of the bank teller down here in NZ - she was like "sigh......... this will take like a month to clear ..... and you know in the USA they can cancel a cheque for no reason...... up to 12 months later......" I felt like strangling her!!!

I just thought to myself, well, I know that clickbank have paid out over $1.3b in commissions to their 100,000+ partners over the years and given that there whole value proposition is around paying everyone, on time, everytime, I'll leave you to be the negative nelly and thats why you'll still be serving behind a bank counter in 5 years time - if the bank does still indeed need you - whilst I'll be floating around somewhere very pleasant on a lovely big C60 Maritimo Sports Cabroliet Cruiser boat!

So - other morale of the story - don't let people try to tell you what you can and can't achieve in YOUR life.

BY the way - Clickbank has already cut and sent my second cheque!

As I alluded to in the initial post, I've tried a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff, some it worth while - some of it just rubbish.

However, no mistakes, only learning.....

What I did find useful just recently though, was following the advice of mark ling at affilorama . com - I'd never heard of him till just recently and his model really does work (he pulls down over 10m per annumn and employs about 30 staff - so he's doing just fine) his course really set me up with how to think about establishing websites specifically for clickbank products - I picked one in the health niche (and probably a way too competive area also) however, it's starting to produce consistent results for me now...

Most banks in Australia make you wait 6 weeks for an international cheque to clear, so the direct deposit from Clickbank for only USD$2.50 is the best option.

Hey there Alfa - I'm a firm believer that we make our own luck.....

Sure there are times when people "get a break" by being in the right place at the right time but I remember a very famous rank xerox copier salesman once said "I get lucky more often than others by being in more places, more of the time than others...." that is very true - what he meant was if you want to get a lucky break you really do have to be out there doing it and trying and applying yourself on a consistent basis.....

But I do agree with you in that I am a lucky man...... :-)
