Ad Copy for Unique Audience

Hi Warriors,

Dave Turo-Shields here. I've been marketing online since 1998. I own a counseling center on the south side of Indianapolis, Indiana. What I do is focus most of my IM towards filling our practice. Overall, it's been a lot of fun.

However, my Achilles "Hell" has been writing ad copy. I've studied, memorized Cialdini's concepts and hired ad copy writers. It would be the Holy Grail if I could figure out high converting ad copy for my visitors.

I've ghosted these forums for years. This is my first step into the light.

All for now,

Dave Turo-Shields

I learned "Sales" copywriting by finding products similar to mine and studying how they used Headlines, Subheads, Bullet-Points, built Interest and Desire, then Closed. Along with patterning their Order Forms.

I'm sure there are Counseling Centers similar to yours, somewhere. Or, businesses that are similar to your operation, with which you can pattern your Sales Copy after.

A local Chiropractor paid me to create a website with Sales Copy. Knowing nothing about "Chiropracty", I searched other Chiros and how they were "wording" their Sales Pages.

Here's a couple of ideas for you, Dave...

First, listen to the clients you already have. Ask them why they chose your center over the alternatives. What was important to them when they were making their choice. Listen for both content and for how they phrase things.

Next, spend some time ghosting forums related to your field of counseling. Again, you are looking for both content and tone. Once you have some ideas, you can test them.

Once you know what's really important to potential clients (privacy, office hours, pay plans, whatever), you know what to put in your ads.

From there, it's a matter of testing to find what works. Copywriters may depend on their silver tongues, but those who use copywriters successfully live by 'beat the control'...
