Hey Guys,

What sort of conversion rates are you guys getting for popular $40ish products on search engine traffic from targetted keywords?

I am not talking about hops -> sales. I mean if you get 100 visits to your page, how many will click the affiliate link and buy?

I know it will vary but what sort of average figure would you expect/ aim for?

Thanks for sharing

I have experience in health market, and the conversion rate is about 2%, but that`s for super targeted longtails, SO I assume it`s not that high at all.

I think the extra step of having to follow a link isn't much but it does reduce conversion rates. I'd really like an affiliate network that allows you to host the salespage on your own website and then transfers them when they click the buy button

I have considered this before. In fact, there was a product that had a terrible sales page; so I was going to create my own, never actually did it though. HOWEVER, I did learn that you can actually directly link to a ClickBank order page (not the sales page); and still get credit for the sale.

So, technically you CAN have the sales page on your own website and then just link to the order page with your affiliate link. There is a special string of code that you have to include in your link to do this: I found it doing a google search, so I'm sure the info is still there.

Also, not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish, but you can do an iFrame on your own site of the sales page. This will make it look exactly like the affiliate sales page, but they are technically on your site. Everything will be tracked to you as usual.

        ClickBank do not allow this

It's all relative..."targeted" may not be as accurate as you think.

Some keywords could deliver 20% conversions but almost no traffic. Others will deliver more traffic but less conversions.

1% is a good start for any product. When starting a new campaign I shoot for it to be profitable at 1% conversions.

1% is the general rule of thumb, as for your product, why don't you get in touch with the vendor? i am sure he can provide you with specific figures.

I understand your need for figures like this..

But, really, none of our numbers can really help you in any way at all.

There are WAY, way, way, way too many variables involved in conversion rates for my numbers to be any use to you. Ballpark figures are a waste of time without getting in depth about outside factors. Some of those factors may not even be in our control.

The only numbers that can ever help you are your own...

I know this isn't what you were looking for. In reality, what you are looking for is about as helpful to you as paper umbrella...

  • This kind of question really doesn't mean anything. The reason is no one knows what you can do from your own page.

Two people can promote the same exact product and one guy will have 10 sales and the other guy Zero.

What separates the men from the boys is the skill.

If you look at the stats that ClickBank provides you ... you can clearly see that people are successful in promoting products.

    Hey Guys,

I really like the idea of directing to the clickbank sales page. Can you also do that when people use that infusionsoft affiliate system?

I understand what I am saying is kinda like "how long is a bit of string" but I do notice certain rough figures that I am for. For instance on a squeeze page from search traffic I aim for 20-30% conversion. If its a lead page asking for address and contact details I aim for 10%.

If I am hosting the sales page and its an info product costing around $40 then I would say 5% as an average from related keywords would be a good achievement.

Reason I am asking is that I have decided to ramp up my affiliate marketing to replace my lost income and I am putting together a cash flow and business plan. I need to put some figures together to show its worth the investment. The figures are hypothetical but I'm trying to come up with realistic best case/ worst case scenarios.
