Product Launch Etiquette?

I'm just putting the final touches to a product that I'm looking to launch.
Initially I was going to launch it in the Warrior Special Offers forum and then I thought to myself that I need to launch it through some big name JV Partners in the niche I'm targeting.

Is it a Internet Marketing NO NO to launch your product in the WSO forum first and then attempt to launch through JV Partners who your asking to promote the product to their list??

It's just a hunch of mine that I might be going about this the wrong way?

All feedback welcome?

lol Thanks Rob, that's put a dent in my confidence!

Well my product is kind of software related and it's looking pretty dam good at the moment. Plus I know there is a need for it as I've needed it myself not so long ago and couldn't find a solution anywhere. However there is a potential that the types of JV partners I'd ideally love to have on board, might find that my product makes some of their smaller products redundant!
Suppose we will have to wait and see, we have a number of ways that I can satisfy the JV's, so fingers crossed my product, support and affiliate fee will do all the convincing for me.
