Default Redirection or Add-On Domain?

I'm tossing up between buying a domain name, and redirecting to an affiliate product through article marketing.

Or, buying the domain and knocking up a mini-site, then have article marketing but link to my mini-site.. which in turn links to the product.

I know the benefits of having a mini-site with the SEO and stuff is better then a redirecting domain.. but, I guess what I'm mainly asking is;
Would it be better selling directly from article sites such as EZA (because of their higher traffic, and higher rankings in the serps)? or, alternatively, sell from my mini-site (which would have less traffic initailly, take longer to rank.. but would also be highly targeted).
What do you think?

-Aidan.

I think the mini site option would be better in many cases. Especially if you use it to build an e-mail list, and then use your e-mail list to market your affiliate products.

I'd always go with the mini site option. In the long run, you'll build several assets that will be very valuable to you (established site, mailing list etc.), and you'll convert much higher than you will trying to sell directly in an article.

Thank you everyone for your help. .

I decided to go with the mini-site option.. I'm just waiting for the domain to propagate, then I can get into it ^^.

Cheers,

-Aidan.

hmm interesting discussion... AS I am pretty new to all these IM... I am learning what I can from the experts... My feel is also mini site is better option but I am lost in getting good site ranking.. recently one of my site dropped from Google page rank 3 to 0 and it stayed that way !!

Thanks for your opinion .

Your site may have been de-indexed, lost some incoming links or your site lost credibility in Google's eyes some way or another.
Not 100%, but It's very likely one of those reasons.

Cheers,

-Aidan.
