Can you tell if an Affiliate offer will convert?

Is there anyway to tell how well an offer will sell assuming you have targeted traffic to it?

    The conversion rate will tell you how well an offer will convert.
    As to how many clicks you will be able to send to the sales page it really depends on multiple factors like your open rate and how well you presented the offer...

    The only way I can think of is to rely on past sales data, either your own or someone elses. If you don't have that, there is no reliable way to know for sure.

    Depends on where its currently listed.

    If on JVZoo or WarriorPlus its easy to see which offer is converting well, because you can see the stats.

    But if its on something like ClickBank then the only real metric you can look at is the Gravity.

    Another idea is to check out the affiliate/jv page for the particular offer, some vendors list the data on those pages.

    Realistically, no.
    You could speak with your AM to get an idea of how others are doing, but there is no real way to predict.

    You can't say much about that even when you see the conversion rate. It all depends on how you promote it and also on the ad copy.

    No, you won't be able to tell exactly how well an offer converts just by looking at it. You can look at the past sales and see how well other people are doing with it to see if it's even worth your time but it will still come down to the way your are promoting it, how targeted your traffic is, etc.

    The best way to really tell how well an offer converts is to test it out yourself with a small budget for traffic and use that data to decide if it's something you want to invest more in and scale up or if its time to look for a better offer to promote.

    You can't really tell until you test it. Once you've sent alot of traffic to the offer page, you can then deduce the conversion rate, the possibility of backend sales conversions, and whether or not you should stop or continue the offer.
