Is Adf.ly a good traffic source?

What are your thoughts on using Adf.ly to drive traffic to a squeeze page or affiliate offer? Is it still a reliable source of traffic?

Honestly i think the quality of the traffic has gone down significantly with Adf.ly
They don't allow you full control over your urls either - your link will get terrible visibility & ctr is nothing to write home about... I have been using one of the newer up and coming networks in the interstitial link shortening world, clk.im - youll find all the features Bitly charges $900+ per month for all in their free account membership - if i continue seeing the CTR i am on my current campaigns with them, ill more than likely be switching to them exclusively...

Let me know your thoughts if ya get a chance to try it out

I read somewhere that some affiliate networks will ban affiliates that advertise on Adf.ly.

You definitely don't want to use it for affiliate offers. You will get banned sending that kind of traffic.

I wouldn't waste your time or money on it for your own offers either since it is so low quality. But it's up to you if you want to try it for that - just stay away from sending that traffic to other people's offers.

I tried it some time back. I think it is a total waste of time and money.

    It is JUNK traffic!
But I personally think it can used to TEST your
landing pages. I know the results may not be
accurate but atleast you'll have an idea which of
your landing pages are getting more conversions.

I think it is a total waste of time. And moreover, your account has chances to get banned if you promote your affiliate links with adf.ly

    Adf.ly traffic is great !

Great for getting your Adsense account banned !

Take it from me... I learned the hard way.

Turned out to be a blessing in disguise though (losing my Adsense acct.)

There are dozens, if not hundreds of traffic sources which will give you better traffic than Adf.ly

Read this thread on traffic HERE to get some better alternatives.

I was able to build my initial list with Adf.ly by giving away something for free in exchange for their email address. But if you count on getting sales through this traffic, I'd think it's hard.

Don't bother. This traffic is absolutely terrible for building a list or otherwise. I cannot really think of anything it would be good for, except maybe trying to inflate your YouTube views or something, and that would probably result in YT taking your videos down. In my opinion Adf.ly traffic should be avoided at all costs.
