Hey guys,

I've been online for a couple of months now and haven't made any sales, i'm getting very disheartened!

I've created my own website, and I have high dreams and aspirations of being a full-time internet marketer.

Does anyone have any clues, tips or tricks on how to drive traffic to my website and get signups?

Thanks so much for your help.
Have a great day

Cheers,
Emma

Maybe you should sign up for your ecourse.

    Seriously:

    Article Marketing
    Video Marketing

Find Some Low Competition Keywords, Write articles around them and then build backlinks for the articles. Find Keywords---Get Content Written----Build Backlinks.

If you just submit articles to ezine everyday, you can get signups and sales without having to rely on organic search traffic at all.

    Hey Emma,

If your website is the one in your signature then you can do following things to get more traffic and subscribers.

Write few articles and submit to ezinearticles.

Comment on some blogs in your niche. Collect a list of blogs and subscribe to each of them using rss reader. Leave a thoughtful comment as soon as and new article is posted. Try to be the first one to comment, particularly on high traffic blogs.

Signup to some new forums and start participating there. Offer few freebies to increase subscribers.

These methods will give you a handfull amount of subscribers.

    Hope it helps.

I really don't mean any disrespect, but you're offering a course on making money online.......and you just publicly admitted that you don't make any sales. See how there's a flaw in that logic?

I'm a newbie myself, and I've read that the IM niche isn't the best one to start out in, being that we really don't have much experience in it, so maybe getting into a different niche and doing some article marketing might be a good move.

You're definitely ahead of me though, all I've done is set up a blog and submitted 2 articles so far, and I see you set up a squeeze page and you're building a list, so good for you for taking action.

The most successful newbies I read about are ones who start out in article marketing, try out different niches, then ramp up their efforts in the niches that do well, so that's what I'm trying myself.

    Good luck!

    hey guys,

i guess i should have made it clearer, i made it sound really bad! I have made money article marketing, and I do know how article market pretty well (which is why i've created my site about that) but what I meant to say is I havent made any sales off of my sign ups through my website. I apologize for the confusion I should have made myself clearer.

    thanks,

      Hello,

Keep trying and don't give up. I been at this for about 2 months and I started to make sales 2 weeks after I build my own website for my product. I would suggest article marketing to start. Make sure you do your keyword research for articles.

Also, make a blog, I suggest using yourname.com and use that as a vehicle to drive traffic to other sites you have and or products you are promoting.

Its difficult when you start out..You just have to keep trying and keep the faith man. The system works, it's just not as easy as one may think...

Okay, so in other words, you're building an opt in list and that list is not
      responding to your offer.

Well, there can be MANY reasons for that happening. Without knowing all
the ins and outs of every little thing you've done, it would be impossible
to say what the problem(s) are.

However, here is a list of possibilities off the top of my head. This list is
      not all inclusive.

      1. The people you're targeting are simply not interested in what you're
selling. Possible cause for this is that the opt in process (squeeze page)
is saying one thing but the product you're pitching doesn't tightly match
what you're getting them in for.

      2. In your followup newsletter, you're not showing them the true value
of what you're offering. The prospect doesn't see what's in it for them.

      3. You're not giving enough info in your newsletter...too many sales
pitches so they're tuning you out. Or worse, you don't have a newsletter
and are just sending out one email with a sales pitch. In most cases,
      that won't do it.

      4. You're giving away too much free info. The prospect has no reason to
buy your product because you've given the cow away with the milk.

      5. Your sales page isn't doing the job it's supposed to do. I haven't looked
at it so I can't say whether or not this may be the case. But if you presell
well enough in your newsletter, you should be able to convert. I make
      sales WITHOUT a sales page.

      6. You don't have a big enough list yet. Assuming you get a 20% CTR on
your emails and a 2% conversion, that means, in order to just make 1 sale,
you would have to have 250 subscribers. Without knowing how big your
list is, I can't say whether or not this is the problem, and that's assuming
a 2% conversion. Poor sales pages can convert at a tenth of a percent
      or worse.

      7. Is the price all wrong? Is it too high or is it so low that the prospect
      sees no value in it?

I could keep going but I think you see where I'm heading with this. There
are just too many variables involved to answer your question intelligently.
But as you can see, a lot can go wrong with this whole process.

You simply need to go through the process from beginning (the opt in) to
end (the last sales pitch) to see what the problem is.

      There are no shortcuts.

Hey dude, I know how it feels I never made a single sale for almost 8 months and in that time also had a damaging affect on my bank account by adwords.

It takes time and patience, but you got to find a system out there that works. From my findings so far not many are using the exact same but a lot use the model.. traffic > landing/squeeze > market.

Provide value to your traffic for maximum returns or the other route is SEO to the top. Something that is a leanred over time and mistakes skill though.

I highly reccommend setting up a landing page with your offer. Then writing article after article to direct traffic to it.

You can even build landing pages with Squidoo or WetPaint to save money although having an autoresponder can be important if you want to give something away for free to begin with.

Although, maybe joining something like NPC or WealthAffiliate would be a good way to go or to find someone in the WSO section who is launching a coaching course.

Best of Luck with your business venture.

      Mark.

May I mention that you want to asked the site where you got the template from? I am sure they will be of great help to you as he is to all his members.

Two things I have noticed with the website you have built!

      1. It is to cluted with lots of words but no video! and you know that has been offered to help you get sign ups.
      2. you need to space out some of the site.
      Cheers

        Hey Emma,

While re-reading you site, I noticed a few syntax and grammatical errors.

From my experience, grammatical and syntax errors can be a quite a turn off.

So, I have listed below some of the errors I picked up:

"...I started marketing online a few months ago and have fell in love."

I believe the appropriate word should be "fallen" in this particular context

"Unfortuantley this information wasn't available so I figured I should be the one to make it available."

        - I believe the right spelling would be "Unfortunately".

        - Another thing would be to try and check the double usage of the word "available" in the same sentence.

"My personal email address so that you can get ahold of me"

-I believe the right words should be "a hold of me"

"Being Dedicated and Having the Correct Mindset are two of the keyest components in being successful online."

        - I believe what you probably wanted to say was "key components"

I will also tend to agree with Mark in terms of spacing out your site a little, in order to make your text a little bit more "reader friendly".

        Hope that helps!

All the best to you Emma!

    Hey Mark,

I appreciate your input! I have tried Wealthy Affiliate, I didn't think it was directed to newcoming internet marketers as much as the new membership site I am with. Im currently with Chris Farrell, and I am loving it. I've acutally become decent friends with him since signing up, you should check it out for some free videos!

    Hey Pace

Bro if its any help, a few months back I wrote a free ebook on how I generated traffic to my blog. You will find that all methods require consistant action, daily if possible.

This involves becoming active in forums ( you're in the best now )

Get active on blogs in your niche, reply to comments, get into discussions

    Amongst other methods

In fact if it helps here is the direct download link of that ebook, of course no optin at all... *ADMIN* If Im not allowed to post such a link please remove -

    www.deanholland.com/download/blog_traffic_guide

Remember I wrote that a few months back now but all methods are still VERY valid and do work.

After about 9 months I no longer need to put in that consistant effort, the traffic just comes. But you will need to initially for some time to get it all going.

    Hope that helps bro !

The key is never to give up, always keep going no matter what you come faced with

    Best of luck my man

Thanks Guys, I'm in the same boat, but I understand that my list is just not big enough yet. As I read through posts, most newbie's problems are the same, " not enough traffic" Seems everyone agrees that article writing is the best way to get targeted traffic

    Good luck!

Hey Emma and welcome to WF!

Perhaps your plan of attack is what's letting you down at the moment? The basics like keywords and writing, link building are 90% fundamental and 10 skill. If your doing the fundamentals right then your "artistic" ability to brand, bond and sell could be the key?

Hopefully you'll be able to assess where you are missing out on the the wins.

Good luck and hopefully you can identify specifically what you need to change, as clearly something needs a tweak.

    Cheers!
