So I am planning to sell shirts/sweaters with famous persons on it ( for example Elvis Presley), but I'm kinda worried that I will get sued. I've seen a lot of people selling sweaters with famous faces on it on ebay/aliexpress/etsy etc. But I wanted to be sure. So does anyone have experience/advice for me?Thanks!

    Yes, don't do it.

Sure other people infringe on copyrights and tradenames/trademarks all the time. Some get caught, some don't. Because others do dumb things all the time . . . that doesn't give you a license to trespass also.

Unless you get legal assistance, I would not attempt to use any celebrity images whatsoever. Why should you be able to profit from the hard work of another without their permission?

To be unique and legal, it would be advisable to only consider stylised versions of these people.

Executed correctly, you'd then qualify for fair use through development of parody.
