Anyone know of a good place to find details on how to market a Udemy course?

To get anything useful, you'd have to tell us who'd benefit from your course or the course matter.

Alun Hill has a good book on Kindle about Udemy. Go to Amazon.com and do a search for:

No different than marketing any other information product/training course.

    - Content production (blog, social engagement, YouTube videos, Medium, etc...)
    - Advertising - paid ads on FB, Google to bring traffic back to landing page leading to sales funnel where you can offer benefit and samples of your Udemy course
    - Affiliates - build a group of affiliates around your Udemy course

We have found that Udemy itself does a decent job of marketing your course, in that case you get paid less, but their reach is quite impressive. Beyond that, laser-focused marketing around the 3 methods above is proven regardless of the platform for effectively selling information products AND allows you to capture the lead prior to sale so you can continue to add value, build relationships and sell more products/services

I'd check out the courses on the topic available on Udemy. Udemy has a course of their own on actually creating and structuring the course, and there are successful instructors who have released courses on it as well. I've taken Jerry Banfield's and Alun Hill's.

I have 5 courses up that are doing fairly well and this was all I used to build mine, along with trial and error.
