INTERNET MARKETING

Hey there

While I was bed ridden over the weekend in hospital, I was thinking of an idea and I thought maybe some here may give me some advice!

I was thinking of taking on an Apprentice next year , someone who has been doing a bit for a few years but just not getting the connection.

They would be doing all the work but I would guide or mentor them and give them access to software and graphics etc etc so they would be out of pocket and would host any sites that go up.

Not really sure weather it was the drugs or just that of late I have seen so many Warriors asking for help and I thought this may be an easier way for them to achieve something and make some pocket money in the process.

Anyways its late half two in the morning , hope to see some reply's if this is a daft idea or has some merit.

I say gopher it...

Only I would add... charging a (small fee) or fair price for your time, whatever you feel is affordable to them, even if it just covers the typical expenses of domain, hosting, autoresponder, and maybe a few dollars for ppc ads maybe...

This way they learn "what it costs" while learning "what it takes"... I think, giving everything away is a sure fired way of people taking advantage of your kindness, and most wouldn't appreciate the value you'd be sharing.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of "teaching them to net fish, as opposed to giving them a fish."

Tough call. If you "interview" the right candidate... It could work, and if they succeed, you would likely be seen (as a web God) to them... And possibly others.

Either way... It could be rewarding if you get a hungry mentee.

I guess it is a case of balancin' out the demands on your own time as your mentee sucks on your generosity.

Prolly more than with a paid coachin' course, you gotta choose carefully or you risk alla that goodwill slooshin' down a vacuum hole.

So you are talking about offering something like a Coaching Program?

That is what it seems like. And I would say just go for it!

Ideas come to you for a reason. And if you get passionate about it - you should definitely follow through!

You will never really know, how much you will help people, until you actually do this - and really care to help out!

You will do good - just follow your passion!

Get well man. Your health is your true wealth. Worry about this stuff after you're 100%. Until then... make sure the nurses (female ones) bathe and feed you like a king.... (hopefully not through an IV though lol).

I think coaching for free could become a problem, as you could end up wasting your time on those that are not really serious and if you teach anything that's not common knowledge, you don't know what is going to happen to that information.

However, you could create a free membership site and do training through videos and only provide info that you feel comfortable releasing.
