The best way to find out is to look at the reviews. But honestly, it sounds too good to be true. You are lucky to get 0.01 per visitor and in most cases it is pretty rare. Overall the risk so low so that if you are inclined to give it a go, you won't lose your whole Refrigerator.

Finding traffic from Fiverr will do no good to you
as MOST of the traffic providers are using BOTS.

It is highly advisable to buy traffic gigs from fiverrr. As most of the traffic sources are junk or bot traffic.

The majority of the traffic from Fiverr is coming from bots. 5$ for 1000 super targeted visitors? I wish I was told about this offer 2 years ago and not today, I would have been driving a Lamborghini by now.
But on a serious note, if an offer sounds too good to be true, then it probably is (on 99.99% of cases it is).
Sound to me that your friend is working for fiverr and trying to sell you an "offer" from them, or maybe you are trying to sell us this "wonderful offer"

Seriously though, for the OP, for traffic from Fiverr, the best "bang for your buck" will be these gigs :

1. Keyword research gigs to research for use with PPC (bing ads)
2. Gigs for creation of videos and distribution of videos on YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion and other video sharing platforms.
3. Gigs to post classified ads for you on Craigslist and other free ad sites.
4. Gigs to distribute PDF`s you create to free ebook sharing platforms (with your own links in the PDF) or gigs to distribute infographics to image sharing sites.

I have bought tens of thousands of visitors from Fiverr gigs and other websites and I can tell you that they don't work. They will not be targeted, you are lucky to get a targeted visitor for $0.1. The traffic will be mainly from bots and other warriors mentioned. Most of the times, they won't even deliver the full quota.

Best targeted traffic is through SEO and PPC in my opinion.

It depend to the traffic source
you can check the website on alexa.com and see the global ranking and monthly visitor metrics
there are many tools on the internet which give an idea obout the website you get traffic from it

Actually there is no one in this world, who will be able to give you 1000 targeted traffic by the $5.00. I am sure most of the traffic is spam. I do not approve of these. In in my you should do some SEO to increase your site traffic. Thanks

I don`t recommend to use fiver in terms of buying or getting traffic. If you decide to buy fiverr traffic, you may expect two things will happen. Either you drive traffic to your site or you lost your five dollar. And believe me or not the second scenario is the best for you because If the traffic start flooding to your site from Fiverr, you could be doing damage that will take months to fix.

It's junk traffic that won't even convert to leads let alone sales. I'm surprised Fiverr lets vendors sell those kind of gigs. An utter waste of time in my opinion.

Always check the reviews of the seller before buying a gig. I don’t want anyone to automate link building to my site, especially those who offer $5 for thousands of links. If you must try it, use it on a junk site first, and test it out. Mind you, any negative consequences won't kick in for some time...so makes testing hard. There are some decent gigs out there, but make sure to use your common sense.

I personally have tried several vendors and none of them have sent me good traffic. When it comes to traffic you get what you pay for.

No don't do it. If you could get 1000 visitors for $5.... why would the Fiverr seller still be on Fiverr? He would have his/her own site, and driving 1,000's of visitors there each day. Don't fall for this. These kind of gigs are only good for no-good reasons.

Back in the 90's I use to buy links, but then Google came on the scene. They clamped down on me. It used to be a great way to get targeted traffic with high conversion. For example, imagine you are a rental car agency. Place a link to your web site on a luxury hotel web page. Most people needing a hotel also need to rent a car. Like it makes sense. However, bad old Google claims you cannot incentive links and they have to be organic. Google can also penalize you for buying traffic as it makes your site seem more popular than it is.

I tried a few , yes a lot good reviews below ( but now reviews cannot be trusted as they might ask friends , relative whoever help them give a good review below )

I use before few , they claim adsense safe.

yes is true , my adsense account still safe but got invalid traffic.

As most of the above have said. DO NOT BUY TRAFFIC FROM FIVERR.

A little while back I actually did a full practical case study on fiverr traffic to prove exactly where it came from, how it was sold, how it converted (or didn't) etc and how you can tell from the gigs that it is a all fake.
