|  What About This Ping List?
I am still not super clear on pinging. But I understand it is a good idea to ping engines so should I use the longest ping list I can find or should I selectively ping?

You can ping the rss directories using pingler.com it has over 90 directories. You can even include the ping list in this thread for a even bigger list if the directories are different from the list at pingler.com Or... You can take the combined lists from this thread and pingler.com and input it into your update services at your WP blog. Hope This Helps!! TL | |

Just to be clear are you saying to take the list here and ADD pingler.com to it and put it the section of my WP blog for auto pinging? Plus add the WP plug in to make sure it pings correctly? Thanks! |

Not all of them work. You need check any ping list that you use with wordpress plugin like MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer.

Thanks for the list I will review it and get back to you. But for newbies if you do not know how to ping. Warning to you => Site can be banned if you do this wrong. So do not play with GOOGLE => Love google  and do what google wants.

Don't ping that much, in fact if you submit too much ping for the same link it is flagged a spammy. if you use pingomatic, don't check all the boxes, just a few will do the job. pingomatic will mention warn you in case of excessive pinging, actually they won't submit any ping. They keep a record of the last time they your url had been pinged and you'll see thsi message if you ping too much " Slow down cowboy! Your last ping was less than a few minutes ago. Please only ping us when you update your blog/website! If you don't think you pinged us Maybe some software automatically did (e.g. WordPress). The good news is we already sent out a ping for you.
