I love that so many of us are inspired by *freedom* - that's been my focus too, and so many people that I interact with daily just don't seem to get it. I want to be able to follow my "natural rhythm" (I'm more of a night person, getting up early for work kills me!) I want to have control over my time. I want to be challenged (works not doing it!) - not bored. AND I want to know that putting in the time, sweat, and mental gymnastics will benefit me, not some faceless CEO that already makes $20 million dollars a year, regardless of what I do. I want to know that I can support myself without depending on some other company, and can't be fired ![]() And... more on the fun side... I want to be able to travel out of the country, and live there for a few months to really get a feel for it. I want to be able to volunteer to work on plays, operas, and films and not have to worry about getting permission from my boss to miss work.I want to be able to pursue all my passions, that I never seem to be able to fit in. Writing, learning about filmmaking, piano, music composition, singing, drawing, and whatever else happens to catch my imagination. I'd like to be able to afford a really nice, expensive, BIG piano some day (and have the space for it!) Oh, and I'd like more time to work on health stuff. I'm not naturally inclined towards fitness but I'm *trying* - cooking and eating healthy, working out, etc... but that all takes time, and with a job sucking up all the day time hours, it's one more thing to do.I think if I could make my living online, working for myself, there'd be work involved of course, BUT I'd love to actually control my time and work on my own schedule, and be able to fit in all the other things that I'm curious about, passionate about, or just need to do. Oh, and every office job I've had has *really* depressed me !!! Jen

The average person puts only 25% of his energy and ability into his work. The world takes off its hat to those who put in more than 50% of their capacity, and stands on its head for those few and far between souls who devote 100%. -Andrew Carnegie | |
