Why do you want to make money online? What's your real motivation? Your dream? For me, I would like to pay off my mortgage and have more control over my time. I would love to have the time to read more. I would love to take a month long tour of Europe with my wife and go back to school and get a degree in math and maybe one in literature. What's your dream? |

Hey Nick Nice post idea !! Well my goal was to quit my job on my 25th birthday on September 25th this year ( Yes I know, many 25's lol .. It's my lucky number ) I actually managed it about 6 weeks ago now so I have accomplished that goal However I recently separated from my finacee and had to move back to my mothers.... So my goal now ? Before my 26th birthday in September 2010 I want to have purchased my own home in cash with no mortgage BIG AIM ... and here I am holding myself accountable Of course my ultimate aim is to make my family proud of me, to achieve success and provide the best life for them as I can !! Their support to me has been insane, I would give them every cent no matter how much I made. That is whats important to me Material things are cool, and boy do I want a lot of them lol but its life and quality of life that is important The freedom I now have is worth 10000000 times more than what I make Thanks !! I have a few reasons. One, I get to spend way more time with my family than if I had an outside job. Two, flexibility. Where else can you sleep late, work at night, work in your pajamas, or take a day off whenever you want? Three, I love what I do (copywriting) and wouldn't be able to only take on the projects I wanted or build my business like I wanted if I was working for someone else.

My dream is to be able to make some money and don't work. I am a high school senior and all of my classmates work either at walmart or JC Penny or any other stores like that but I don't like doing that. I also want to make money online so that I can pay for my collage. I am palnning on going to Tulane University and and the cost is $40,000 a year. I am working hard for a scholarship and if I don't get a full scholarship I will try and pay my collage. This is my motivation and this is my reason for being online. |

I have been self employed just about forever. Before delving into the Internet nearly 20 years ago I had brick and mortar businesses. I enjoy the business development end of it I guess. Once the business is up and running successfully I get bored with it. So I flip it and move onto another challenge. I guess the answer would be so I can enjoy my passion and get paid for something that started off as only an idea. Though taking on the video game niche has been quite a challenge. But that feeling of competing with billion dollar businesses and then seeing yourself climb the ranks to be right there in the middle of them is extremely exciting. Now if I can just capture some of that billion dollars |

I want to buy a Porsche, it doesn't have to be brand new , a really nice place on the beach, a house or an apartment, Hawaii sounds good, cocktails all day, travelling the world, partying and doing my job from wherever I am (because internet is global), freedom, doing what I really want, helping people, doing something that nobody else around me is doing, and just having enough money to never actually have to think about it. Those are the reasons I'm doing this |

You can't put a price on time and my primary goal was always to give up my 60 hour / week sales management job and work for myself. Material things are great and I have the same motivations as anyone else, I guess; clearing debt, paying off the mortgage, an Aston Martin or two ![]() Good idea for a post, this. All businesses need to set objectives for themselves or for the products or services they are launching / marketing. You should ask yourself what your business, product or service hopes to achieve. Setting objectives are important. It focuses you and your business on specific aims over a period of time and can motivate you and your staff to meet the objectives set. A simple acronym used to set objectives is called SMART objectives. SMART stands for: 1. Specific – Objectives should specify what they want to achieve. 2. Measurable – You should be able to measure whether you are meeting the objectives or not. 3. Achievable - Are the objectives you set, achievable and attainable? 4. Realistic – Can you realistically achieve the objectives with the resources you have? 5. Time – When do you want to achieve the set objectives? I know this is info straight out of a sales management text book but it's worth bearing in mind. All the best, Steve. |

I want the freedom (financial and temporal) to learn to play guitar, take up the piano again, buy my own airplane (already have my private license) and get my commercial pilot's license so I can do some part-time instructing. I want to open and launch brick and mortar businesses too (a brewpub or nightclub even). My family made a lot of money between 1998 and 2004 in IM (affiliate programs) and I was too young to take advantage of it. When I was younger I had an Amazon affiliate site and made exactly one $25 cheque. I want to use that as my motivation to make EVEN MORE than they did. | |

I want to make money online so that My wife can be a stay at home mom that she wants to be. I also want to provide better for my family. It would be great to have a suplimental income and maybe actually be able to do it from home full time. That way I wouldn't have to commute to work. Curerntly my commute is 1hr each way.

Simply to fulfill my drive to make more money! I'm constantly coming up with plans, have various fingers in various pies and have a couple of businesses on the go at any one time. Right now I am on the low ebb of businesses but higher ebb of my income (maybe there is a lesson there?) so getting itchy feet about branchign out again. Financial goals etc are great, they are what I set myself, but it is the constant drive to be setting up and running businesses that has brought my attention to internet marketing - and I think it's a match made in heaven! |

I've always wanted to be successful and after ilness literally kicking me out of college I found IM to be a topic of interest that I knew I could learn. I'm so glad that now a year and 3 months in I didn't give up, because everything started piecing together at the beginning of the year. Joining here especially helped me in my venture. So thank you all Warriors for being supportive of me and everyone else. |

It's always inspiring to hear about the dreams of others and there are lots of them here. I've been lucky enough to have tasted my dream already -- working in Hollywood. As much I enjoy the beach lifestyle, making deals in Hollywood is the pinnacle for me. Not so much big budget films like Transformers, but small, inspiring films with heart and a message like Little Miss Sunshine and The African Queen -- which got me interested in the first place. Ironically, they put the wrong tape in a Transformers cartoon box and I decided to watch it age 8. I'm happy to take the maximum risk, i.e putting up the money, for the maximum reward of inspiring people to do better in life. |

My dream is pretty simple really... I would like the ability to do whatever I want, whenever I want to. In other words; if I want to take the whole year off to travel, starting tomorrow, it would be no problem. If I wanted to fly to Hawaii for lunch today, just because of a craving... I could. If I wanted to give $20,000 to my favorite charity, I could do it easily. The internet is (arguably) the best way to generate enough passive income to do things like this. |

For the short term, I want to make money online to payoff my College tuition fees, my parent's mortgage, and to ELIMINATE ALL the bills and payments that are causing an enormous amount of pain, suffering, and worry for my parents. Seeing them hurt, makes me hurt. They have done so much for me and I HAVE to make money to repay them and support them. In regards to the long term, I want to make money online to reach my dream of Achieving UNLIMITED FREEDOM and SUCCESS in all levels of life. I want to grow wealthy both inside and out. Similar to the desire of most driven people, making money online will allow me the privilege of spending precious time with my family, experiencing the wonders of traveling all over the world, and having the freedom to do ANYTHING I want! However, I am very fortunate to be in a business where, in order for me to make my desired amount of money online I will have to provide TRUE value to EVERYONE that I cross paths with. I will have to connect and build relationships that will enrich not only MY life, but also the lives of OTHERS as well. This is the way I want to make money online and this is the way I have ALWAYS dreamed of making money. Everyone, whether they realize it or not has the desire within them to help others and provide value in any way they can. To me, combining this concept with making money online is something that is UNBEATABLE. Honestly, what better way is there to make money online? I hope everyone on this forum found something to relate to or received some value from this post. Yours in True Freedom, Sonam Lama |

I want the freedom to be able to do what I want, when I want. When I was working full time I feel like I never got to do anything with my family. I always had to work the weekends and could never get the time off to enjoy the family outings.

My reasons are - I recently graduated, I got placed in and MNC named Satyam but unfortunately it got canceled (you can google about the company to know more) . I am the eldest in my family and there is this family business we have but i do not want to be a part of it. I do not have money to invest and start some XYZ ltd. or to take up further studies (MBA - which is my dream) ATM I want to be on my own. Work, earn and save for my studies as well as work and earn during my masters rather than working in campus etc. Last and most imp. - All of you must have heard about SEOguy right? He is my inspiration which pushed me to come up with this online business thing. Really!! |

I want to make alot of money so I can train at the gym during the day, lay out at the beach for tanning the muscles, and so my future wife (who ever that will be) won't have to work. She will be busy cleaning the house and making my meals. Work for her would get in the way of those chores.
