Need free stock images/vectors/patterns etc.....

I have posted this site in a couple threads before but since I have gotten so much out of this forum, I thought I would try to give a little back.

Site has been around forever so I am sure I am probably posting this when you all know of it already LOL But i hope a couple people can get use of it:

BLUE VERTIGO | Web Design Resources Links (i think in past I might have left off the .ar of the link - if I did I apologize because it brings you to some spammy site if you forget the.ar)

This is a compilation of web design resources with links to:
  • Free/Cheap/Commerical Stock Images
  • Free Vectors
  • Free/Commerical Fonts
  • Free Logotypes
  • Free Sounds
  • Photoshop Brushes
  • Poser Downloads (have to amdit no idea what these ares LOL)
  • Icons
  • Color Tools/Text Generators/Patterns
They have multiple sites for each section too - it has helped me out a lot when i needed something free in a pinch.

I buy a lot of my images now but before that was possible, this site held me down.

    I use stockxchange , MorgueFile, and BigStockPhoto

    There are a lot of royalty free images with those sites, however sometimes they charge $1-3.

    You have to read their TOS to make sure you are not breaking any rules.

    That was totally helpful for me. I was looking for some nice free stock photos.

    I use stockxchng (already mentioned above), I believe all their photos are 100% royalty free (you might want to check double check with their terms and conditions).

    One thing I've found is that their quality isn't as good as paid stock photography such as istockphoto (seems a bit out of focus for most of the photos i've gotten)... but if you're going to resize to a smaller size it should be OK for most uses.

    This is a phenomenal find.....the stock music is absolutely great.

    No more buying stock music for me.

    Mohammed - as for the royalty free question - Blue Vertigo is a web design directory basically it lists free/cheap and commercial sites...the free section is expansive it has tons of sites- and each site has lots of images. Most often the rules of usage are particular to each picture...check the pictures and I am sure you can find waht you need.
