How do you create a squeeze page?

First of all, my confusion. So, say you have a blog or a website. Once you have a squeeze page/opt-in page/sales page (whatever you prefer to call it), then if someone opts in, that will take you to your website, right:confused:

Or, is your squeeze page solely designed to give a free ecourse, ebook etc. so that you can build your list and then sell them something?

I am trying to get this straight and your input would be highly appreciated. Once the confusion clears, lol, how do I create my own squeeze page?

Is it necessary with a squeeze page if you had an opt-in form on your website or is it beneficial to have both

Is it possible to have an opt-in form without having an auto-responder and and if so, how do I build my own?

Please, can someone set my head straight, lol !

So it will help if you offer an incentive for people to subscribe.

So you are trying to build a list to market to the people later after helping them out in some way.

Thank you for that, the fog is already clearing, lol . So, would you say then that an opt-in page is the same as a squeeze page?
