Payment Processing Service

Could you share through what provider you deal with payments on your website and why you like it? E.g. fees?

PayPal is the most convenient and trusted payment processor for both the sellers and buyers. I use it since they allowed my country to open accounts with them.

Also PayPal has easy instructions on how to add payment button on your websites.

Compared to other payment processors, PayPal has less fees in terms of receiving and withdrawing options. Last week I have withdrawn money to my US bank service without any fees at all.

    Thanks

      Thanks for the reply.

The thing about fees, I actually did some very quick research and found that paypal is slightly above average in terms of seller/payment recipient fees.

Additionally, depending on who and what you sell to, selling b2b and having only paypal as payment option can seem bit ameteurish or below the standard. Thoughts?

Paypal, amateur? Paypal is more trusted than some random foreign processor, imo.

Just for your information, PayPal has more than one rate. I happen to sell low cost digital products and with a normal PayPal account they would eat up half the profit, but with micropayments the fees are much lower on low cost purchases.

I have also been using paypal for about the last 10 years. They are very easy to use and highly respected. I have never had any issues with them. If an issue has arose, I just call them and get everything sorted out.
On my websites, I use pp, other credit cards, or Bitcoins for payments.

PayPal and Stripe are the lowest on the (International) market. The only way you could possibly negotiate better rates is if you went to your local bank and had a prior relationship with a manager.

They're also the best regarding security.

As far as "ameteurish or below the standard"... not sure what you're reading, but PayPal SET the standard back on 2000 and have been the leaders ever since. Many have come and gone, (and I'm sure we'll see more wannabe's), but Stripe is the ONLY one that has gotten it "right" in the past 15yrs.

I was merely referring to (as far as I know) lack of customization available. The response here seems to be pretty obvious, but I did come across numerous tests which showed that replacing other provider with paypal decreased conversions. However, adding paypal as an option to something else increased conversions

What tests did you come across? Care to share?

Here's an article that explains why ease of use is so important for conversion.

I'm a reseller with several payment processors so I have a pretty special arrangement where I pay virtually nothing for credit card processing. That said, because I have customers from around the world I have to continue to offer PayPal.
