I have setup phplist responder on one of my sites and it works fine for sending messages one way in a one time blast. It does not however, have the ability to sequentially send emails once the subscriber has signed up, like constant contact does. Now I really like the idea of free so i am trying to see if anyone knows of a mod for phplist that will allow sequential emails to go out, using the cron function. For instance: april 1, newsletter reader signs up april 5, followup letter 1 goes out april 15, followup letter 2 goes out april 25, followup letter 3 goes out |

I haven't found one yet as I was looking for one myself. While searching, though, I did find another mailing list program (free) that does have a sequential responder feature. It's called Infinate Reponder (Infinite Responder - Free Autoresponder Script).

So far I haven't had the chance to install and test it out. I'll post back once I've had a chance to give it a quick run.

| infinite responder works pretty well and does all that I need for now. The issue I now have is finding a host that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to let me send 500 or more emails out a day via php. Anybody got ideas on one?
