Hey Warriors,

I was just researching around and found that our fellow warrior, Ron Douglas is featured in NY Times Best Seller list. This is so inspiring to see a Warrior member having such success.

Yes is was in there, thanks. In the past month, I've done:

      Good Morning America
      Fox & Friends
      Wendy Williams on Fox
      Inside Edition
      Today Show on MSN
      Today Show Australia
      Studio B with Shep Smith
      Good Day NY
      WPIX 11
      Channel 55 Long Island
      NY Post
      NY Newsday
      People Magazine
      ABC News Now
Plus like a dozen radio interviews some of which I can't remember

I don't say that to brag, I'm just trying to open some new doors for fellow Internet Marketers. If a boring bloke like me can get on, why can't you?

Thanks guys. I just saw this thread and I appreciate all the support.

Being a NY Times Best Seller and getting a lot of media attention is a huge honor. I'm really humbled by it all as it was never something that I thought would happen.

I've learned that to achieve higher goals, you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and actively seek opportunities. As an introvert, it is unnatural for me to actively seek things I'm not comfortable doing - like media opportunities. But that's what I had to do to get to the next level. There is a big difference between passively accepting the opportunity if it comes and getting out there to make it happen.

The other thing I've learned from all this is to surround yourself with people who specialize in things that you don't. Many Internet Marketers operate their business on an island and think they can do it all themselves. You see it here all the time - people saying stuff like "if I just write 5 articles per day, I will be making good money."

Once you get past the goal of just surviving without a job and start focusing on financial freedom, you'll see that your time is better spent managing your business instead of working in it.

To manage your business means to delegate tasks to specialists. I still work from home but I have a team of specialists that do things like Public Relations, Customer Service, Traffic Generation, Content Creation, etc. This allows me to focus on making power moves instead of wondering what articles I'm going to write today.

Just a few thoughts - hopefully it helps someone. Thanks again for your kind words.

Ron is definitely the man. I have learned a lot from him in the past 6 or 7 months since we partnered on a venture.

He's one of the smartest guys I know. He doesn't think he's much of an IMer, but after working with him I can tell you he knows more than most people I know.

    And he is quite humble.

Way to go on your success Ron. WELL deserved.

      AHHHH...to say "I Knew Him When"...lol

A while back there was a thread where warriors were listing their top 5 trusted, most respected warriors (or something like that)....ones when you see their posts you just have to open to see what they have to say....a lot of top warriors were named...

Me...I thought about it some...thinking that when it came down to it, out of all the warrior members, I bet I could count that list on one hand....

      Ron made my list...

I've always enjoyed your input, your honesty, your unselfish wisdom that most posts you make include.....I've learned a lot.

Congrat's Ron on yet another milestone achievement...NYT best sellers......sweet!!

When I make it back to L.I., I'd love to stop in & meet you in person.

      Cheers,

    Hey Ron,

Maybe you've already talked about this. I don't spend near as much time in the forum as I used to, so I very well could have missed it.

With stories like Ron Douglas making the bestseller list, John Reese making 7 figures in 24 hours, all of the 7 figure product launches that followed Traffic Secrets, etc., I think a lot of folks miss the bigger picture.

From what little I've read about your project, it sounded to me like it was a long time in the making. Folks might benefit from hearing a bit more about your inspiration, your vision, and the dedication to your project that it took to get you from ground zero to where you are today.

Congrats once again to you on your success.

I should do a WSO titled "how I got John Rogers to put me in the same sentence with John Reese" .

Seriously though, I may put something like that together soon. It was mainly stumbling upon a good idea, leveraging one thing into the next, and hooking up with the right people. Not rocket science at all.

        Congratulate Ron!

The moderate and persistent work yields it's fruit always. I feel that his success is an example to be folloved by all of us.

I know that you settled the bar high. Your follovers expect the usual quality from you based on this. Without doubt they will get that.

        Many further successes,

        Sandor

            Fabulous, Ron!

Don't forget to save your video clips from all of these shows and use them.

Also, this is a great opportunity to use a little graphic that says "As seen on" or "As featured on" along with the logo of each show and publication.

    Hi Ron,

Congrats on a job well done and earned!

Seriously though, I may put something like that together soon. It was mainly stumbling upon a good idea, leveraging one thing into the next, and hooking up with the right people. Not rocket science at all.
Let's hope you do find the time and initiative too. It will benefit many.

Btw you are right, it isn't rocket science, but many people need to follow exact directions for how to get from point "A" to point "B". In other words, some marketers may be able to spot great opportunities and leverage them automatically, while others are not graced with these gifts.

This also bring out another point you made in an earlier post - it pays to surround yourselves with people who have the gifts that you do not.

Anyway, have fun with it, and I hope your success continues ...
