Is it good to get traffic only from one source? I receive 1000 daily visitors only from one source. Should I go with any other?

Does your source convert? Is it scalable?

If the answer is YES to both the above, stick with that source, scale it up then invest in other traffic sources.

I think multiple sources is better. Here are some of the main sources for me: YouTube videos, AdWords, link exchanges with high ranking, high quality sites, blog comments, mentions in articles and or course Google using SEO and blogging.

If you arent making money with it ,you gotta switch ,ultimately if a visitor who converts is more valuable than 1000 visitors who just come to occupy your server bandwidth ,If is converting well and good

But looking at your question it seems you are not satisfied with your visitors may be they are freebie seekers and who knows the answer to that question its you

Are you using paid traffic or free traffic

Most likely it looks like free traffic since you r getting 1000 visitors daily

There are 2 types of traffic hot and cold

If you are getting the traffic from search engines ,they are generally pretty hot ,also it depends on the keyword you are targeting(Whether it is a buyer keyword or not ),If everything is fine till here then you need to look into your offer ,is there a squeeze page or something or you are linking straight to the website

If you have the time, money, and/or resources to go and use another source, then by all means do so! Just make sure it's profitable for you, and that you know when your break even point is.

No, I do not approve of this at all. The English has a proverb that never put all eggs in a box. because it the box break your all eggs also break. So you should increase the way of traffic. You need to use multiple ways. Thanks

I would stick with one traffic source until you've mastered it. If that particular traffic source isn't converting well then try another one.

Never focus on one source of traffic, if you get 1000 to 1 traffic, scale it to other sources and you will get a massive traffic

Yes, explore different traffic sources... it's all about testing and tweaking.

Find a few different strategies that work for you and scale them up.

My personal favorites and most profitable are YouTube, Blogging, and Solo Ads.

Most of us that are concerned about traffic have a business or want a business online. Business by definition generates profits.

Make sure that you are sending them to a squeeze page that converts them into optins and takes them through a well structured funnel.

If you have things done right on your side of it, and they still do not convert, then look for other sources of traffic. But don't be too hasty. Make sure you have your side of things done right.

It takes some time of testing to figure out if it is your landing pages or the source of traffic that is the problem. If you do try another source of traffic and it too fails to convert, then you know it is something gone awry on your end. If however, the new source of traffic converts well, then the original source of traffic may be the problem.

As you have seen on this thread it common that some feel you should stick with one source while others say diversify. This may make you feel unsure which advice to follow.

The fact is both suggestions are right. When you begin using a new traffic sources stick with it long enough to understand how to get the best results from it. Once you have mastered it, then try adding another source and then another until you are well diversified.

If however, you have put a substantial amount of work and time into a source and it is not converting, then instead of beating a dead horse, you might be advised to test a new source of traffic. If it also gets no conversions, then there is a problem with the landing pages and offer.

If however, it begins to convert well, then you know it was the source of traffic that was the problem.

It’s simple, to get higher website ranking you need to think like a millionaire. A millionaire on an average has seven sources of income. You can at least optimize three sources of traffic.

That is very good, high traffic places like Youtube, Facebook, Twitter. Make use of the traffic there and redirect to your website. 1000 visitors is a good start. But aim higher. Aim for at least millions of visitors, that way you can most likely earn more than $10,000 easily.

Be smart, more traffic is better so get as many traffic sources if you can. More traffic you will get more sales.

you should ALWAYS have more than one source, for 3 reasons

    1) you can reach your target audience through different channels example:
you might be using fb ads, but not all your audience is going to be on facebook, so you would target them through search traffic etc...long stroy short you should have as many viable options to make money as possible ONLINE AND OFFLINE

    2) if you ever get your account banned, then you just lost your entire income, if you have multiple, then you take a loss but your still in the money

    3) some sources are better than others because not all traffic is generated equally, but how would you ever know if you only have one..you could be losing money

    there you go, dilemna solved
    better get testing!

Any source where people are *actively* searching for what you have will convert way way better.

So that means SEO and Search PPC.

Remember you can SEO allot of things: blogs, videos, web pages, pdf eBooks, etc. so it best use all of these since it can be very competitive to rank just web pages for certain keywords.

    What is your traffic source?
For example if you're getting organic traffic from search engines that's good.

Having one source of traffic is never really a good idea. What do you think will happen to your sales if that one source suddenly disappear?

I always encourage my friends and people in my team to look at multiple traffic sources for their online businesses. You never know what the future holds so always be prepared for the unexpected.

Something doesn't sound right. Getting 1000 visitors per day sound more advanced but for some reason you sound like a newbie Harris96.

I apologize for saying this if you aren't new to marketing.

Everything comes down to 'Targeted' Traffic.

You could get a Million hits per day but if all that traffic isn't the least bit interested in your 'type' of product, then you will experience a 'disconnect' with your audience and no one will buy your stuff.

    The best way:

Study the top 3 competitors in your niche.

Sign up to FOLLOW dot NET, or Ispionage, and spy where they are getting their traffic from, and where they are putting their banner ads.

Also, see where they traffic is, on PPC, PPV, and their ad copy and landing pages. Make yours better, and and advertise there. We like FB, Bing, 50OR, and PPV & Very large Media buys for $3000 USD Plus+

You can generate hundreds of leads per day, and go from there. If you cannot make sales from 400 leads a day, there is something wrong with you.

But its all about finding what is working for your competitors.

Also, to take it further, you can even work out which competitors are getting MORE ROI% and bang for their buck, and try to see what they are doing, and incorporate that into your business.

No need to re-invent the wheel guys and gals.

    Hope it helps.

Social Media is bigger too these days, every man and his dog is on there.

Twitter, google+, linkdin, facebook, Tumblr, youtube [videos]

If you can set something off VIRAL in these social scene and enviroments, you can get HUGE EXPLOSIVE traffic, but might be hard to get targeted traffic, what you want is laser focused traffic, the more targeted the better!!

I mean would you put and ad for a new PARENTING PRODUCT on a CAT site? No!

Would you put an ad for a new CAR on a BABY Forum? No!

you are not going to make sales there.....

What about putting an AD on a Forum for CATS, advertising a new REVOLUTIONARY FLEA collar, is that the right thing to do!? Hell yes!!! You probably will not need many hits to make sales on that sort of thing, WHY? well....your putting it infront of a highly targeted audience!!!

Its the same with FB, you can select, age, name, status, and even what color panties they wear on WEDNESDAY LOL....

When you get good at knowing about your targeting audience, and how to target, that is what takes you from earning $20 a day, to earning over $200 a day.

Its all doable. Takes times to master, I agree, however once you master this you can set what income you want each day. :-)

In my experience, it depends on your offer which should include something that has immediate value to the potential customer. Immediate value could be a free video or report that is designed to educate or that can be applied right away. Doing so gives them more of an incentive to buy. Why do we go back to the same places to shop? Usually because of good customer service and discounts and points toward other purchases, etc...If you have those variables in place it really shouldn't come down to how many different traffic sources (although make sure the traffic are people).
