How much do you get from Amazon associates?

I was just wondering does anybody get much money by
promoting Amazon products?Because the referral fees
is quite low.How much can you get from that?

    You will have to sell a lot of amazon products, to earn a decent amount. Once i sold about $3500 in 2 months through links, websites etc and i only received around $100.00.

    I only ever actively sell amazon prodcuts from around september to December because of the christmas orders - it goes crazy then.

    Amazon used to be decent until they removed the direct linking which i used on adwords.

    If you have websites with good traffic then selling amazon products definately works as people trust it, as it is a good brand name.

    I am agree you have to sell large amount of products because i got $50 only after selling $1450 products.

    It seems like it is quite hard to make much money with amazon..
    You need to sell more and more products.Thousands of them in
    order to earn more..

    That will be a really hard work, isn't it.

      I make about $400 a month from amazon with very little effort - however, it is not my primary means of marketing. I only have the products listed on pages where there is a lack elsewhere so i think its more a case of bloated visitors giving me better clickthroughs.

      There's potential, I think, to easily make that $4k/month but it would mean changing other well converting pages. Something Im not really interested in at the mo

      Yeah, maybe you are right, it would also depend on the products.
      Should have been done better research on what type of products are
      people searching for..I guess.

    It seems like it is quite hard to make much money with amazon..
    I don't agree with that. I currently earn $250 to $300 with very less traffic. The secret is to think beyond just promoting books. Amazon is no more just a book store. I find earning with amazon easier than clickbank. Simply because the "trust" factor is already there. I have even tried "bum marketing+amazon" and works extremely well.

      But how much traffic do I need to deliver just to make $250 to $300..Any good strategy?

    One of my website makes me around $100-$125 with 50 uniques a day. One simple startegy it to target product keyword with the modifier "review" attached to them.

    For example if your physical product is "dog beds", target the keyword "dog bed reviews" and it's various long tail alternatives.

    If "dog bed reviews" is too competitive (and it is), try "square dog bed reviews".

    Build a simple webpage and use RSS to HTML script (free or paid) or even "amazon widgets" to display products from amazon. You'll do much better with this.
