Finding a solid article writing gig

Hi,

I have been in internet marketing for years, since 2009, and in that time I have had my ups (3k a month in something that was great before it got old) and downs (like $5 return for a good 5 months solid). Mostly ups thankfully.

At the moment, I turned away from all of the affiliate marketing I was doing for the past year, and wanted to get back into content writing. At this point it is not because of millions of dollars in it, that is for sure. At one point I had 20 clients for writing articles at a time, so I made good money in it, but its not a 5k a month deal right?

What I want to do is stop the whole rat race I was doing with affiliate marketing by creating tons of content everywhere, pushing it all around liking, following, reblogging, favorite this, favorite that, and all the pushing I have been doing so long. Writing has been involved in it all, so I suppose I want to continue in that field.

I want to find a way to just create a solid article writing gig, maybe for a few people where it brings in $30 a day so I can focus on my animation hobby. I know $600 - $900 isn't a lot a month (if I can make it that much a day every day) but my end goal is to create series and maybe go big with that later on.

And in my country that small amount is enough to live on, no problem.

I have a knack for writing dang near anything, so scripting what if TV series in animation is where I want to go in the future. My ideas in this area are humongous to say the least. Its writing short stories for video sites rather than Amazon.

In any case, for those writers out there who write consistently, how do you land a good gig where you have at least 6 to 7 articles a day to write?

My writing is unique, researched, very fast typing speed (I tried that whole dragon naturally, and it did not have the same feel, so I just type it up). That said, do you think I should go the route of placing a main page for my bio, profile, education, yada yada, and then work out from there?

My idea was to leverage Tumblr (I can do it with any product, so why not myself?) and simply use all the techniques I have in my pocket to push article/content writing (with all that SEO yada yada attached), copywriting, sales script writing for sales videos, term paper writing, and so on.

What does anyone else in this field think?

I am no writer but when I need some good writing articles I check on fiverr ofcourse and elance and some other forums. Just make topics, create a portfolio and promote that. Just think out the box a bit and you will make the 3K again.

    Good to see you here.
    Good luck.

If you have good experience and can write with quality you should definitely check out Fiverr. If you provide something unique and of high quality you can earn pretty well there.
      Also check out peopleperhour.
