I know this is a recurring theme, but I just thought I'd guage your opinions on this one. I have a review site which is page 1 for a very competitive keyword phrase. I've been making commissions on a regular basis. Now, I have added a competitor as the number 1 choice, in this particular comparison review. I have stopped making commissions for the past week, even though their sales page looks better, and their guide is better than the rest. Now, I have checked the links are working. When I go onto my affiliate link then click through onto the website, my link is showing, however, when I click buy, and end up on the clickbank merchant cart page, and scroll down to the bottom, it say, affiliate=none. What's going on here. I have checked with the other products on my page, and my aff link is registering. I am about to get intouch with Clickbank support. I am pretty sure I have missed out on a weeks worth of sales here. What do you think? |

Weird, I have read abYut Clickbank hacking over the Internet. Somehow they change the cookie information at the client side is what I have thought. Your case is different. To have this kind of infection, one would require having cookie changed from the server side. Neithre the vendor nor Clickbank would want to do it for rather obvious business reasons. Simply talk to Clickbank and that might help; |

Yes, I thought I'd put the hoplink in the wrong format, but I hadn't. I outsource the affiliate management, one of my hoplinks was put in the wrong format, which I thought explained why. afflink.hop.clickbank.net is the correct way productname.com/?hop=afflink but I am still not getting my link registered, so Ill see whats up. |

Neither. Even if the merchant stopped the affiliate program, would it be his fault for not telling you this when there is zero way to communicate with you? More than likely, it's a malfunction at clickbank. Let me know what you find out. |

You could always use tracking software to keep your own stats as to what clicks are being used... then compare those to the vendors. If you have old hoplinks you should probably change them to the new encrypted links. I have a feeling ClickBank is not tracking the old links very well. This feeling is pure speculation of course, but it's always worth keeping up with the new. And of course there are constant updates to Browsers.. FireFox, I.E. 8. Seems like all the Browser and Security companies are doing everything they can to kill cookies. |
