I know EZA say that they are baning peoples accounts and removing their articles if they generate fake traffic at their article. But what stop people sending fake traffic at all their competitors articles and then reporting them? Does anyone know this as I am concerned that EZA is going to lose its appeal when these tricks catch on to the mainstream. |

Urrrm you make a good point there! I could easily commission for 100,000 hits to go to an article for a day with no stress and then just get rid of all my competitors! Tom Brite |

I've just contacted Chris about this issue. We're going to put a stop to it before it even starts. This can be VERY serious. This is why I don't like TOS that can be abused by those trying to ruin other marketers. Hopefully, Chris has, or will have something in place, that will be able to prevent this from happening. So let's not hit the panic button until Chris addresses the issue. A better topic title for this thread might help in getting his attention. |

Yes, let's not assume worst case scenarios. I'm sure once Chris realizes the potential for abuse, the EZA TOC will be amended.

Fake traffic has decreased significantly since they have implemented framebreakers in their pages. So no autosurf hits.

What did Chris say about it then, when it was brought to his attention? Nothing. I'm happy this is being raised again. Maybe you know Chris personally and can get him to break his silence about this. People should follow the EZA blog on a weekly basis if they rely on EZA for a big part of their traffic. There are some very interesting things posted there from time to time.

Unfortunately I really can't think of an answer to this problem. It is unfortunately inevitable, it is just a matter of time before it happens.

Or... You could use EZA as the replaceable tool that it is.... if the ability to use that tool gets taken away.. you should be able to simply replace it... If you are that worried about your use of an article directory, you should be even more worried about your business. Peace Jay |

Perhaps the owner just put that in ToS as a deterrent and doesnt actually ban people? I don't know. I have thought it through a few times and there is no easy answer or solution. I'm sure if you found an author with 15 articles in the same category and blasted every one of them with traffic so they took up the whole list then that author would raise a red flag somewhere. Does the owner ban him or let him grab crap loads of extra traffic and link juice? If he bans him then its an easy way to remove your competition and when people find out how easy it is you will see people selling 'EZA bowling' services for $20 on certain forums. This sort of unknown factor niggles at me. Only way I can see to find out is to create an account and submit 15 articles to same category and blast detectable fake traffic at them and see what happens. However to do this would be unfair to the other authors in that category.
