Wordpress VS HTML websites, which is better

Hello everyone,

Just wondering which is the better platform for internet marketing, wordpress or html?

I believe they both have their pros and cons and users can list benefits for using one over the other.

My main questions is which would be better to use for internet marketing and why?

At the end of the day it's content that matters more than anything and how well you do your keyword research. But it depends on how skilled you are at building websites and how well they're optimized for search engines.

Most wordpress themes are pretty highly optimized for search engines, which means all you need to worry about is the quality of the content.

If I'm doing a blog, I'll use wordpress. This makes posting so much quicker and there are loads of plugins you can get to automatically submit your post to social bookmarking sites/rss feeds/etc. This automation and speed is the main thing I like about wordpress.

However, if I'm making a site to sell information products or a content site that isn't a blog, I'll use HTML/CSS. It's alot easier to customize your own code than wordpress themes (unless you're rediculously good at coding). And if you know a little about SEO and don't mind spending a bit more time on it than this is a pretty good option.
