PLR - Do people still buy/use it?

Do you guys still use PLR? It seems that most of the websites I've visited lately doing PLR are selling the same product 5+ years ago.

Can anyone recommend any good PLR sources? Are there any PLR producers putting out 'updated' content in different subjects relevant to today's market?

    For videos and email sequences, yes.

    For websites? Not so much. Not even for outer rings of multi-tiered SEO networks meant to boost PBNs.

    I buy PLR articles for Tier 2 link building but I spin them using TBS before using them because the same article is sold to hundreds of people.
    I never use PLR articles for my money sites.

      There are a number of PLR sites that have 'new' content on a regular basis. This is usually not a free service. You'll undoubtedly need to become a monthly or lifetime member.

      I have my own favorites, but am reluctant to promote them here for now. Do a 'PLR' search on Bing or Google on you'll see plenty of sites with Private Label Rights digital products, etc. that are fairly current.

      Hope that helps.

    * Product creators

    * Graphic designers & artists

    * Sign makers

    * Web designers

    * Sales page developers

    * Product creators

    and a whole lot more other people are still buying PLR. I write copy every month for PLR creators. And remember, PLR can extend to a lot more than the written word.

      I use PLR, but only as an article base. I know what I'm looking for and I'm very choosy. I do a re-write. It doesn't take me very long to whip one out.

      Spyntax? Nah, too impersonal. In order to build trust, an article has to have your voice, your attitude, your persona all the way through.

      For instance - Omar Martin and Mike Cheney are JV partners. They send out the same email campaigns at the same time in the same order (I'm on both lists), but sound nothing alike. I'll get Mike's and a few seconds later, Omar's hits my inbox. Almost the same subject line, different content about the same topic, different voices.

    Hello!

    The answer is YES. PLR products and content is a growing market. You get many PLR websites offering brand new content, ebooks, videos, articles, complete reseller tool-kits and even autoresponder email series.

    I wrote a little post on the "best PLR websites", I think if you Google that term, you'll find it on page 1 or 2. I researched the top sites out there and listed it.

    The most common ways marketers use PLR is:
    Coaching
    Resell Rights Membership
    Coaching memberships
    Affiliate Bonuses
    Reselling as is
    Bundling and selling as a blowout
    Using them as lead magnets to build a targeted email list
    Rewriting them for SEO

    Hope that helps

    You must be looking at some very outdated websites. This year there has been a flood of new content, including new video courses, plugins, graphics, ebooks...good, quality material too.

    You either don't know how to use Google search correctly or you are exaggerating with the "5+ years ago" claim. I haven't seen any top sellers or membership sites selling anything that is 5+ years old.

    Well, if you are looking towards "selling the same product" as in the type of niche then yes, people have been selling in the same niches for the past 5 years (imo, every other plr pack I see is about six pack abs!). However, if you are looking at plr as in how the same formats have been selling for the past 5, then yeah that also makes sense because I believe the majority of plr content is sold in text form.

    The truth is, there has been a plethora of other formats that have arisen in the past 5 years that are plr also. Some you may know, some I may know and some we both don't know that someone else does know. But for example, there are:

    PLR audios (which are imo rarely used)
    PLR Newsletters
    PLR emails
    PLR software
    etc.

    I'm pretty sure you already know about the mainstream formats (plr ebooks, articles, blog posts, product reviews, videos, etc.). The point is, plr is still a huge market especially for internet marketers because there will always be a spot for fresh content that internet marketers do not want to originally research.

    I do not know any plr sellers that put out content that is updated because frankly, I have not purchased any. I guess good copy and testimonials on a plr seller's sales page coupled with asking around (like how you are doing now) would help to make a good decision.

    I think PLR products are great if you put your own spin on them. Make them better by including extra chapters with information people want to know about in the present time.
