13.8 Exclusions. If we reasonably determine, having considered all the relevant circumstances, that you have made an excessive or unreasonable number of claims, Reversals or Chargebacks, we may exclude you from the PayPal Purchase Protection policy and deny all open and future claims, or take any other actions pursuant to this Agreement. We will notify you if you are excluded.

I've never opened one and I would say most people haven't either. You've opened 2 which is twice as many as the average person I would guess. I'd say this is why you got the notice.

Just curious as to why you are opening these disputes and now wondering how many more you can get away with? Seems a little strange to be honest.

That's the whole idea, there is no figure given so only PayPal knows
how many they would allow you. I guess a lot depends on the type
of dispute and how separated they are from each other. Remember
that PayPal loses money also when you win a dispute.

Well, for one thing a dispute is a last resort so if you have filed a dispute then that means you have exhausted all other means of resolving the issue outside the dispute resolution process.

So that means you asked the vendor for a refund and he refused. Why did you ask for a refund? Why did the vendor refuse?

Two disputes means you have twice had a conflict with vendors you could not resolve together. That is actually a lot.

Two times IS a lot if you've only made 3 purchases through Paypal.

            "Excessive" is a relative term.

            Relative to what????

The number of purchases you have made.

The logical assumption is that the ratio of disputes to purchases is what is important. If you had made 100+ purchases via Paypal, 2 disputes would probably not have raised the red flag.

PayPal thinks you're trying to rip people off. Stop it. Ask no more questions. Just stop it.

It's painful to sellers. Only sellers who sell junk products or services are the ones who will not feel the pain of your disputes.

  • Why you opening these disputes?

Try to work things out with the seller before you open a dispute with Paypal.

Seems like Paypal thinks you taking advantage of their service.
