Hi! Y'all The idea for the question in this post came from a warriors post in another thread. She advised those people who are having a hard time writing in english to do it in their native language instead. To me it's a great advice. Why go on trying to keep up with one thing when you can do a whole lot better doing your own thing? So my question is, if english is not your first language, do you have a site in your native one? How successful is it in terms of visitors? Do you also get sales from it? To our success! Raul Omar Diaz |

It really depends on who your target market it is, what language the site should be in. It's easy enough to Google search for sites in non-English languages. You must be referring to Internet marketing sites? One could do quite well targeting, say, populations withing the United States whose primary language is Spanish. Straight to DVD filmmakers and TV broadcasters have done quite well targeting this market. I'll bet that there is huge potential for this with Internet that could be tapped. Latin America as a whole is a huge market and the real sleeping dragon. Heck, I'm starting to sell this idea to myself, LOL. Another approach is to have two language versions of the same site. Many sites allow you to easily switch from one to the other by clicking on flag icons. |

Thanks T, I was wondering earlier if a site in my first language will work (I'm Filipino). I also want to observe if doing one in my native language will allow me to create amazing content. This is since I won't have much trouble expressing my thoughts. There will be no language translation barrier and the possibility of my thoughts coming out fluidly is highly probable. Maybe actually building one in the IM niche will help me find out. And also it could be the best thing to do..to actually try! If anybody has had success with this please post. Again, thanks!
