Hi, I'm new here, and I am new to Internet Marketing as well, but I am excited to tap into the streams of knowledge that run though this legendary forum. As this year comes to close, I would like to know what are the significant internet marketing strategies that would be most prominent in the coming one, and will lead to an increase in all aspects for a business of any kind. Looking forward to participating in the forum and contributing to the already rich repository here.

    I guess coming up with a specific strategy will depend upon the nature of the business, but in a broader perspective, what could be the strategies that could be applied to any business looking to thrive online, irrespective of it's theme. Something like a Content Marketing Strategy and the tactics that are used within it that will do well in 2016.

      I have found that Reddit is good for lots of traffic but it rarely converts for me.

    Strategies are simply ways to attack a market in order to make money . . . and there are thousands of ways to do it. Your best strategy will depend upon your niche market, your own marketing skills, your business model, how much money you want to invest, your product or service, and other variable factors that affect your business.

    Focusing on strategies comes down the road a ways.

    More important to new online marketing hopefuls is discovering your niche market, finding the needs/wants/desires of your niche audience, creating or promoting a solution to their problem, and locating your audience of prospects. All these critical elements will drive your decision about what strategies or selling methods you should employ.

    Until you answer all these questions, strategies mean nothing because it shouldn't be considered until all your market research is completed.

        Well here is a glimpse on the strategies that will dominate in 2016:

        1. Video ads will start dominating.
        2. App indexing will lead to an explosion of apps.
        3. Mobile will completely dominate desktop.
        4. Digital assistants will lead to a new kind of optimization.
        5. Virtual reality will emerge.
        6. Wearable technology and the Internet of Things will pave new ground.

        Internet marketing will become more strong source of business establishment in 2016.

        Google doesn't like them.


        But look--

        These "Hey, what's working?" threads are useless.

        The guy with the hammer will tell you to use a hammer.

        The girl with the nailgun will say you should pick up a nailgun.


        In weight loss and bodybuilding, the same thing happens.

        "What's the best exercise?"

        "The one that you will DO."


        And I echo that line here in IM. The best IM strategy is the one that you will DO.

        The one that you stick with.

        My blog is about to be two years old. I belong to a syndication group and guess how many other blog owners have stuck with it since Jan 2014?

        ZERO.

        There are two die-hards who have been solid over the past year.

        That's it.

        The rest...come and gone. A flurry of activity for a week, a month...and then vanished.


        Commitment.

        That's the IM strategy you need.

          The ultimate marketing strategy is (drum-roll please) ...

          #1. Finding or creating ways to separate yourself from the competition or other choices your prospects will have.

          - and -

          #2. Then communicating those unique, superior or easier ways to your target customer - so they get it ( while your competitors yell in their ear too).

          With the increased noise, me-too businesses and skeptical prospects you'll face in 2016 those are must haves - whatever other tools or social media you use. Ignore or discount them and nothing else works.

    Jump on the social media marketing bandwagon. Simply put, social media marketing isn't going anywhere. I'm talking about Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and sites like that. If you're not active in the space, you're definitely missing out. All the time and effort you put into this will not be wasted and is in my opinion, one of the best bang for your buck investments you can make for your own empire growth.

    Here is an original thought use this tool Goolge and look for other ways to find a source as I did and you will be very surprised what you can find, just try not to sticking to the same path as everyone else and you will be making money very fast as there will be no others doing the same

    There are other platforms that rank highly in Google just have to find them! and it is good research

    Well i know that some people keep saying that SEO is dead , but i think that it will always be the best way to get target traffic, If you really know how to do SEO then for me that's the best marketing strategy. If SEO its not for you then Social Marketing is good also , which has shown to be effective lately.

      Everything above and from my personal perspective...

      Focusing on one task at a time...(for the blokes only!)

      Not buying anymore 'shiny objects' but...taking note of how good their Sales & JV pages are (I need to improve with those).

      Keeping to a schedule and building in some 'Murphy' time for my products - if something can go wrong it often will!

      And not worrying to much about pleasing Google all the time.

    I have only been in IM proper since late August 2015.

    Any IM strategy must include plans to get Traffic (eye balls ) at the very centre.. You need tons of Traffic.
    This can be paid or free. I use paid targeted traffic from solo ads (because it works for me and my business model).

    Paid Traffic is expensive but I have a "refillable source" of Ad funds in one of my Programs and this keeps the wheels of my business continuously turning and making me even more profits.

    Some people are experts in Free Traffic generation. I am getting to grips with that as well with my YouTube videos and my blogs.

    You also need a mentor.

    A great mentor does not charge you an arm and a leg for their help. The very best are just happy for you to join their team as affiliates.

    I may be wrong but this has been my experience. May be I have been quite lucky!

    My strategy for 2016 is to rinse and repeat all I have been doing since end of August 2015 that has given me so much success.

    I have successful websites in numerous niches, and my biggest focus in 2016 will be on growing my membership sites. I like the model because you are not constantly looking for a new product to sell, or for new members.

    A properly structured membership site almost runs itself, and happy members keep bringing in new members. In some membership sites, the members even create the content.

      Willie is right,

      I had no success online till I got a membership site with $9.95 and got my first 20 members.

      I was still really bummed & Down, cause it was not much money. like $199 per month. :-( But willie actually helped me, as 20 x $9.95 = $199 per month. No much right. I wanted more......

      Then Willie reminded me. "YOU SILLY FOOL....LOL...." How did you get those 20 members??? All you have to do is, keep doing that again, and again. Get another 20 members, and then another.....so I went away and formulated a plan!!

      So I did, and now have 2000 members paying me $9.95 per month. So work that out!!! LOL of course not all members stay, and some drop out, but I always get new members each month, and some days, you do not even have to do one bit of work. But I Do anyway.

      So willie is right. Residual, and monthly memberships will be killer in 2016. Its where you can make BIG CHEEZE!!!

      Of course its hard work, but its well worth the time and effort, and kudos for Wille for bringing up this topic.

      Just imagine you could have 30 or even 40, maybe 50 people paying you $9.95 per month for info you know heaps about. Its alot easier than you think. :-)
