Is Shopify Any good in Australia ?

Thinking of joining them, to sell, products, anyone here in Australia using it ?

    Shopify is based in Ottawa, Canada and their corporate offices are actually not far from me (walking distance).

    They are an ecommerce platform that helps you set up a store and manage payments etc. The key to using an ecommerce store in your country is to make sure they can handle things like your currency (no point building a store in Australia if you can only list prices in US $) and taxation (if you need to add sales tax/vat etc and the platform doesn't handle it, then you will have trouble).

    Fortunately for you, Shopify does handle Australian ecommerce.

    I have not used them so I can't offer any testimonial or experience, but they do target and support the Australian market.

    Just to note- they don't actually provide you anything to sell. They are an ecommerce platform. You still need to find products to sell and arrange distribution, handle returns, etc. Shopify will provide a platform and software to manage this but they will not help with actually doing it.

    I have only used Shopify as an affiliate, so I can't speak about much here, but it's an international platform, so being AU based shouldn't be an issue.
