Default A Nigerian Wants to Buy My Product Via Clickbank- How Can He Buy It?

Hello friends,
I got an email from a Nigerian. It seems he wants to buy my Clickbank product. Is there any way a Nigerian can buy a Clickbank product?

Thanks,
Dan

You could accept a paypal payment from him (or is paypal banned in nigeria) and then send him the product manually!

PayPal seems to be withdrawn from most african countries, they don't offer it, but if he has a visa, mastercard or american express he can buy from you through clickbank. Personally I tend to steer clear of orders from that part of the world due to the fraud risk, but if he is a genuine potential customer with a credit card, he can buy your item with it through ClickBank.

Indeed, like others have said, Nigeria has a very high fraud rate. However, that doesn't mean all Nigerians are bad - quite the contrary!

If this person can't pay you money, consider asking that he pay you in services (articles or whatever).

I have at least 2 or 3 Nigerian purchased with fraud payment through paypal... if I get request from Nigeria, I would ignore it... until they improved the fraud rate, I don't bother to do business with them.

You could always have them send the money Western Union, or whatever, like they always want you to do when they need to transfer 100 Billion of an exiled prince's money out of the country.

Please he's asking for an idea, and as was said before, not all nigerians are bad, though the bad ones don't get punished enough.
I don't think western union can be sent out but google checkout is possible with a master or visa card or best still, let him pay in services as was said before too..

Who said I wasn't being serious? They do have Western Union or a similar service there. Yes, I did tack on a bit of humor at the end of it, but don't tell me they don't have any type of money transfer places like Western Union.

I watched a whole expose on the Nigerian scams where they actually sent people small amounts of money to gain their trust so they could then perpetuate the bigger "Nigerian scam" through a money transfer service like Western Union.

Also, the reporters wired them small amounts of money so they could lure them to a meeting place where they were supposedly going to give the Nigerians the rest of the money. When in fact, they were really there to shame them for what they were doing.

Here's all the Western Unions located in Nigeria:

The WU just receives I think, the scammers are really a BIG problem though and I believe more people are being lured into it when legitimate avenues to do business are blocked..

Most Nigerians can use AlertPay.com

I've accepted payments for some of my products/services with AlertPay.com with no problems. It works in a very similar way to PayPal.

Cheers,
Suzanne

This thread might give you some helpful insights:

Is it safe to give my bank details to a Nigerian prospect?

I completely agree.

I have paid a designer in Nigeria for very good design services rendered and I was able to pay via PayPal - the last transaction was about a year ago.

I don't know the detail of this particular issue or if PayPal have now withdrawn their services to/in Nigeria, but I am surprised if PayPal do still offer services there, that ClickBank are not operating there too.

I would respectfully suggest making some telephone calls to PayPal et al to get definitive answers.

Jeff.

I am nigerian and not all nigerians are bad.

Most Nigerian IM guys are very straight.

Ask hin to contact VTN for a visa graphcard that is clickbank compatible.

Nigerian credit card are not clickbank compatible. Even when you have a graphcard visa card, clickbank does IP tracking so knows if its a Nigerian ISP.

WU and Moneygram only receive. There is however liberty reserve which Nigerians are fleeing to in droves

A Nigerian minister came to Singapore during the APEC meeting and he is trying to get people to invest in Nigeria.

He tried his best to portray Nigeria as a country that is worth investing in and they are trying to curb the increasing rate of cybercrime and such.

So, let's give them a chance in the future to do business with us online ok?

Not all Nigerians are rogue, Being that as it may...

VTN for Graphcard is Ok.
Dorm account bank transfer is also Okay
He can also pay for a virtual card thru LR or Egold
Alertpay is also an Option
Paypal can also be used but it will take more stress..

Any of the above methods should work

Hello,

Let us be honest to ourselves. I am a Nigerian an abhor fraud as nature abhor vacuum.

My recent study on corruption reveals the the western or developed world are more fraudulent but the issue is that ours are more pronounced by our journalists.

There was an armed robbery attack in one of the banks in Hong Kong and the following day i expected it to carried by the dailies but it wasn't there, then i asked why? They said that robbery is not a news rather getting culprits makes the news.

This is unlike Nigeria where robbery is the news while getting the culprit is not. The fact is that we have to be fair to each other.

So, all the payment processing companies should beef up their security and let us by from any merchant.

I am proud to say it is only few Nigerians are fraudulent judging by our population.

I would definitely go with Western Union, it's the safest method for you. However he will pay some big fees, but that's not your problem right?

I have many customers who sell through clickbank. It has been very hard for me as a Nigerian to buy from them even though I have a visa card issued from Graphcard.com which is duly registered in the US. As soon as clickbank notices that the IP originates from Nigeria, it will decline payment.

I once wrote to one famous affiliate marketer on the issue, trying to explain to him that I am genuine and to confirm the payment before allowing me to download the product. The response I got was that he cannot allow that because it was a security issue which had been preset in the system.

I really would like to know which sites that accept US issued visa cards which are passed through Nigerian IP address. The none acceptance of Nigerian IP address is fraustrating my online business. I really need help on the matter.

Every clickbank sale to a nigerian gets withdrawn and refunded! I would not bother, it is nothing personal to the country or its people, it is just a fact!

All tarred with the same brush comes to mind! I do however remeber a documentary about customs at Lagos airport having a gun fight with some guys at the airport!
Also when I ran a transport business I sent a package to Nigeria and the guy that turned up to deliver the package said to the consignee if you don't give me 50 dollars you can't have your package.
So, when we can all sell and buy in 220 countries worldwide i'm afraid Ogbu its no great surprise.
Good luck and let us know how you go on, your hurdles are a little bit higher than ours but i'm sure you will cross them...

Maybe find an escrow account like e-scrow. Make sure everything is received then send out the product. I think paypal bans certain parts of africa.

All jokes aside, Western Union or MoneyGram is the only practical way to deal with stuff like this.

I wish there was another way, but banks and such have deemed any credit card or bank transactions with countries like this to be way too risky. It's not without cause, but it's still sad how bad apples ruin it for everyone else.

Hopefully he won't ask for a refund 24 hours after buying".

They should name it the "Refund Scam" or have they already?

you gotta be careful, because they know peoplel think they are scammers they are always coming up with more ingenious ways to rip your off.

So tread carefully. I remember once a guy was after my email....and password. Tried to social proof his way in, and help me...but behind the curtain he was trying to hack my email and password, or get access to them. Its bad, dude stay away.

Point of correction. More scams are been committed in US and by US than Nigerians. I have been online for over 12 years now and have been American scam others too.

Nigerians are not that bad, just that they have hated by the westerners because of fear of control.

Ask Master Card, Google, VISA International and so on how much they make in Nigeria ever since they came in.

Let this impression be corrected.

Thank you friends.
