Comments on blogs and squidoo lenses

I'm a newbie and I'd like to know how to get people to comment on my posts on my blog and squidoo lenses? Is there another way other than waiting for traffic?

On Squidoo I find that when I comment on other peoples lenses, they will usually check out my profile and comment on one or two of my lenses.

Also, if you want to creat activity you can change the title of the "guest book" module so that you can encourage people to comment. Sometime I will ask a question like "Did you find this information useful?

Generating traffic and having quality content is the best way. Of course you could have OK content that is also a little shocking that could work as well, but you still need the traffic.

Ways to drive traffic are forums, other blogs, articles, answer question sites, squidoo, etc.... be active in your niche and when possible include your site name and/or link in your bio, signature, or wherever allowed.

If you are using WordPress there are a few plugins that will help encourage people to comment. But some of them require you to actually give a little something back. Remember that if you create value for your visitors... then they will more often create value for you.

I have been always looking for more useful method to generate target traffic. I create a website voguehit.com 10 months ago,but the IP is still not high enough.

I don't comment on lenses anymore.

I left 3, 10 line comments and was reported for spamming.

So I took my bat and ball and went home.

Comments aren't worth much to your lens anyway
