Some people recommend sending an email once or twice a week, but I've seen many successful marketers in different niches sending emails everyday or every 2 days. So? |

Depends on a few things. For most of my niche sites, I send emails out every 4-5 days. But as long as you're getting lots of opens then you're probably doing ok. Another thing to think about is why you're emailing them. Are you emailing them to get something from them? Or are you emailing them to give them stuff. If the people like what you're giving them, they won't mind more emails. But if you're just blatantly selling stuff, then it's going to get you a lot of unsubscribes. Sean |

How many times can you give out awesome content? Whatever the amount, there's your answer. |

Good thread I have been beginning to contemplate starting a email list, as I am still new to all this, and was wondering the same thing myself. So as far as giving away free awesome content, is there a point when it becomes to much and you start losing prospective sales, b/c of this? |

If I come across something that I think will help me, I share it with my list. Whether that is a great thread on here, or a beaut free report I come across or a free download of a vital plugin etc I will let them know. The time frame varies but probably averages out to 3 a week to most of my lists. |

There's no right or wrong answer. It depends on how to set the expectations with your list. Are they expecting email from you every day, or every week? Having said that I don't see any problems sending out every day if you share something useful or interesting.

If you have something to say or share that can help them, and as long as you don't constantly bombard them with sales messages, you could email everyday. Test it. If you overstep the mark, you'll know soon enough by the number of unsubscribes. Andy |

I believe once a week is more than enough, more than this and they will get tired of you and your "recommendations" or tips or advice whatever you send out.

Everyone will probably have a different viewpoint...but personally I send out an email everday for the first 5-7 days (while the product is still fresh in their memory) and after that once a week...

How about this: Forget a time limit per se and send them an email every time you have something really insightful to share with them that they would have a hard time seeking elsewhere. If it's not often then, ... not often |

I think this is depends on your own niche. Let say if your niche is parenting and target is parents. They are quite busy and maybe only available for weekend. So I would say twice a week for this case. |

In responce to the above topic 'How often should I send emails to my list? ' It de raelly depends on what you have to offer and how its going to affect the life of the public. If u think the they really need those emails, all you need do is give cogent reasons why they should honour the emails. In all,you have to be persistant in what you do. cheers |

I've been writing autoresponder copy for my clients for quite a while now, and it really depends on the niche. When I write, I fill the autorespondes with so much meat, they can't help but click the links...by the time they've absorbed the information in the email, they click because they KNOW something else good is waiting on the other side. Now, when a client is just building a list, and they are buidling trust, I make sure they have plenty of useful information for the customers. Again trust is key. On a personal note, there are some emails that I get that I open every day because they always send me something I can use. I can't help it...don't want to miss out. Some email me once a day. 3 out of the 5 days are nothing but freebies and "I thought you'd like to know about." The two other days may be promoting something with a freebie attached whether I buy something or not. I ALWAYS open those emails! They seemto give MORE than they receive. Hope this helps... |

No one can tell you how often to send your emails. You should try and check to what they respond better. Of course you'll loose some subscribers on the way but at least you'll know how much you can promote to them. Another great way is to ask them. You can setup a simple page online with a few simple question to know your subscribers and their issues better. They will love you for asking them what they need. Cheers, Mike G |

I think weekly should be a maximum for any regular communication, though occasional reminders about deadlines might be more frequent..

As a subscriber to several lists, I have to say that most people tend to send out too many e-mails. If there's good actionable info, then I don't mind receiving a new message (or even two messages) each week. Any more than that seems to be too often, especially if each message is just promoting the latest, greatest new thing for me to buy. Give good info or recomendations and allow enough time between messages for your readers to put the info into action. |

I live by the 7-3-3 policy. First week, once everyday. Second week, thrice in the week. Third week, thrice in the week too. Helps to make it more ethical and 'real', IMO. |

I have great success from the following system: one a day for the first three days then once every four days for as long as they stay on my list they also get two a month as well one with their monthly tutorial the other to inform them of new gifts being added to their memberszone. When ive met marketers at conferences when ive been public speaking those that have done it everyday have complained that their list has become unresposive after 6mths so theyve started again. With my system i have never neededed to i have quite a few subscribers that signed up in 2005. kind regards sam X |

There is no single 'right' answer! It will vary for every list - so the short answer is "Test it". Decide how you'll measure 'response'. Do you want people to click on your links, or buy your product, or watch your video, or do something else? Measure it. Are the desired actions being taken by your subscribers? Test new things. Getting good results with 1 email a week? Try twice a week for a while, and measure results. Decide. Do what works. Drop what doesn't. Keep testing conservatively. Jay Abraham is fond of saying: "The only risk you have to ever take in business is a conservative test!" Hope this helps. All success Dr.Mani | |

It is a common belief among many marketers that the more you mail out to your list, the more sales and the more money you will make. The fact is, every list is different and unique. One list might be more receptive to receiving more emails while people on another list will unsubscribe immediately at the sight of frequent emails. However, what I have found is this: it is better to mail more often than it is to mail less. It is better to 'over market' than it is to 'under market'. In other words, if you asked me to choose between mailing 2 to 3 times per week or mailing just once per week, I would choose the first option every time. The more times you contact your prospects, the more chances you have to strengthen that relationship you have with them (if you're writing quality emails) and also give them more chances to buy your products. Now, what happens when you mail out less than once per week? Well, chances are your list is going to forget you even exist. They will start to think you are not as 'busy' as you can be with them. Mailing more often shows that you are more in touch with your subscribers. One great idea is to ask your subscribers for feedback when they sign up for your list. Ask them how often they want to receive your emails, then take it from there. You can also set up a follow-up message only after weeks after they sign up for your list that asks for their feedback. All said and done, you have to test the frequency of your mailings to see what schedule pulls optimum results for you. Fabian |

Mail early mail often. The only answer to this question is "Let your bank account" tell you! |
