Finding list owners?

I want to promote a product that is not related to IM, now i am looking for companies/people that have a list, what are the ways to find such list owners, example if i was looking for people with lists about gardening, how and where would i look for it?

I guess the obvious answer is to simply google your key words, and see who comes up, if there is a sign up form on their web pages they have a list, if not they probably don't.

The sites will usually have a contact email to use if you want them as affiliates or such like.

Forums and other such places relating the the niche and asking those people directly may also be a good move.

How about right here at the warrior forum in the joint ventures section. Do an adswap for a person with a gardening niche list and enter with how big your list is.
