You have to build your own list. If you buy/rent you may be disappointed. Put a squeeze box that gets in their face and get as many visitors' emails as you can. If you don't have the traffic to do that, try a joint venture. You find someone with a large list and agree with them a commission arrangement. They mail your offer to their list (you don't see their list) and they get money on sales (if they are well-known and have a big list they will probably get all the money lol...) but if anyone on the list comes to your site and signs up, you get the email address and they become your fair game. A lot of marketers build up substantial lists this way. You could probably find a JV partner here on WF. |

You can put an opt in form on your site and collect visitor emails in exchange for example a free report. Then you'll be able to send them offers whenever you want- that's as close as you can get to "make money with a click of a button" ![]() If you want to find other email list owners, do a search, find your competitors and offer them something of value that they can give to their subscribers (aka free report or something). Make the report valuable content and include your url somewhere at the end. this way you'll get some traffic and in most cases list owners will be happy to give free stuff to their people (if it's good content). Hope this helps ![]() Chris |

It is important to build an email list and back-up the list also. Give away free report to collect potential buyers email. Then you can send follow up email to them and provide good information to them before they decide to buy. Or at least they will remember you when they really need the product in future.

Yes, everyone is right. Build your own list that your members agree to be emailed by you - give'em something free that's related to your service or product: a report, an ebook, a discount coupon, a free desert - whatever. Offer them information about your topic - then, when times are slow, send a special offer to get them in the door and help you boost your profits. Don't send emails too often; make them interesting and informative to read. Keeps your name front and center for when they need what you're offering. This is powerful marketing and extremely cost-effective. At most you'll just spend what you need to to hire a copywriter to create the emails. And once those emails are written, you should be good to go! Hope this helps, Dot |

Email marketing is good as long as you are extremely ethical about the way you go about it and don't spam people with affiliate products. Just make genuine recommendations laced with really good advice. Lists make money |

You can also develop your own email marketing list. A way to reach your target audience is to allow existing customers as well as potential customers to register on your Web site and decide whether or not they want to receive emails with additional information and advertisements. When the users register they should be required to enter an email address. This registration process will allow you to compile a list of email addresses from each potential customer who expresses an interest in receiving additional information. A draw back of this approach is that it will take time to compile such a list. |

I have had good results using a few sources to build my own list. Be sure you have a lead capture page with an autoresponder. A solo email blast works best. It's more expensive but subscribers only see your offer. |
