Tracking Clickbank sales using Google Analytics

For those of you who sell products on Clickbank, how to you properly track sales to show where your buyers have come from?

I have people visiting from different traffic sources who visit my website, sign up for a free guide, go to my welcome page and then they're redirected to my product.

Some buy at this point, some don't, but then I send them regular emails with other links to my product.

A fairly standard set up.

I've used integrated sales reporting with Clickbank, which works fine but it only displays sales from the most recent visit. I use UTM parameters to track everything, so it will show if the sale has come from my Welcome page, another page on my site, or one of my emails, but never which traffic source led to the sale.

Is the answer to have a 4 step funnel in one of my goals like this?

Goal detail = URL of thank you page after purchasing product

1) Welcome Page = URL of welcome page after opt in
2) Pitch Page = Sales page of product
3) Clickbank Order Form = code
4) Clickbank Success Page = code

Any help would be really appreciated! Getting sales at the moment but no idea where from!

Just keep doing things the same way as you are going right...do not worry about tracking things till the time you are getting sales...

It seems like op is already getting sales, which has led to this question.

A good solution for this is to use a tracking software like Prosper202 (free) or CPVLab (paid). This would help you identify each traffic source that leads to sales or any other metric you want to track.
Of course, there would be a learning curve for getting these scripts integrated with your funnel, but the effort would be well worth it.
