How much is a list of 1000 people worth? it comes with age, gender, first name, relationship status and a few more details.

    You need to know what products or services they're interested in or have previously bought including the average price points.

    You also need to know how these names were obtained.

    Only then can you work out how much these people are worth.

      Without any more information it is totally impossible to speculate at all. It could be 100K a month for the right List or literally $0.


      A huge discrepancy.

      Need to know how was the List developed? What Niche? How old? etc..etc..

          OK . . . this is part of the solution. Now tell us how the names were obtained, how old the list is, and who owns the list?

          Obviously, the list members have probably NOT given a new owner of the list permission to have or use their contact information. I could be wrong - so please let us know how these subscribers came to be.

      i totally agree...a list is useful only if relevant...it should contain active users who are inclined to buy similar products that you are selling...more importantly the source form where the list is coming has to be authentic and should cover geographical regions that you are targeting...

        Depends on how you got the list, did you build the list personally? If so, the list could be worth a lot. If someone sold you the list, it is a possibility that they also sold the list to others as well.

    It depends on how responsive your list is..
    Is it a buyers list?
    Is it a freebie list?
    Which niche is it?

    It maybe worth thousands but may also not be worth a dime.
    It all comes down to testing and tracking.

    Not worth a lot. 1000 people list don't worth anything unless they can convert very well. I got a 1000 list, but only making $10 per day.

      I don't agree.

      With a list of 1000 people, depending on the niche, the experience of the marketers and the kind of products being sold, an experienced marketer can make a lot more than that.

    Whenever you buy data it will be very rare, if ever, that it will perform as well as a list you generated yourself. For this reason, you need to compensate with high volume and then clean, prune and segment it into the most responsive list possible.

    Also, anytime I acquire data, I always get a sample first and test it to get an idea how fast it's likely to break-even. Then if it doesn't break-even as quickly as I would have liked, then I can try and negotiate a better price, so that it beaks-even quicker.

    Since the list is so tiny, I personally wouldn't even consider it. 1000 isn't even close to what I would call high volume and not even what I would consider a small sample to test.

    The question is, has anyone on the list already proved to be buyers in the dating niche?

    Buyers are worth more than tire kickers. Though tire kickers can still be used for promoting a site/product.
