Opinions Needed: Download Page

If you're selling an info product with, say, 10 PDFs total included, once the customer gets to the download page, would you group everything into 1 download/zip/folder that they can download, or contain each PDF on that page with its own download button?

I ask because initially I thought, if there are a ton of things they're downloading, keep it easy -- give it to them all in one download/zip folder with everything inside (sub folders, etc).

But then someone once told me to NOT do that, and separate them all as individual downloads so that customers "feel" they're getting more value (visual thing?).
^^my thoughts on this is - cool, I can see that -- but at the same time -- I see it as a HASSLE for customers to have to go through each individual one, download it, pick a save location, etc.

Thoughts peeps?

Thanks!

I would suggest to zip them together as a "package". If you wanted to add more value you could add maybe a couple bonuses that would complement your PDFs? instead of just visual value, you have now provided actual value for your customers

Don't try to invent a bycicle

Just use a successful model. For example Dropbox. The costumer coul deasily choose whether to download a single .zip file or only one part of it

I agree with what @James Baker said. Zip the PDF files together. It is less hassle for your customers. Think of other ways that will make your customers feel that your product is worth spending their money.

As a buyer of info products I find it easier downloading everything in one go.

Depends somewhat on your file sizes and where you are selling.

Believe it or not, some people still use dial-up connections. What takes a minute on a good DSL connection could take an hour or more on dial-up.

      Why choose?

Offer both. Let your buyers choose.
