Anyone have experience hiring an affiliate manager?

Do you pay per job or pay commission?

What type of work do you have them do?

I know this must vary depending on location, but just curious as I am starting an affiliate program shortly and thinking about hiring a manager or to do it myself.

      Thanks, I have an affiliate software but I was thinking about things like:
      - working to get new affiliates
      - customer service with affiliates
      - paying affiliates
      - creating promos, specials for affiliates
      and overall managing and dealings with them to continuously build and grow this part of the business.
