Elance and oDesk merged and became Upwork.

There are some good writers in the Warriors for Hire section.

If you want high quality, be prepared to pay at least $10/page (or 500 words).

When it comes to hiring writers, the rate is directly proportional to the quality you get.

There are high quality writers on each of the platforms you listed....you have to write up a job description to attract them - you have to look at their bids and the ratings they've earned and choose a writer. In the "for hire" section you can contact writers for a price - you can see what others have posted, etc.

People are not going to provide you with names of writers.

May I suggest ghostebookwriters.com? They are expensive yea, but the quality of writing is unparalleled. I have used their services several times, and I appreciate the fact that they keep me updated page after page and chapter after chapter, that way the editing and revisions also go on side by side with the writing.

See I think their prices are justifiable. All the other websites you mentioned are a hit or miss, if you come up on a great writer, awesome! Otherwise you might as well be throwing away whatever little money you'll be spending. Check them out!

I have used Fiverr, hirewriters, and Elance in the past and each has pros and cons. After spending many hundred on testing various writers, I have 'one' that I singled out as being above and beyond all the others I've tried. I made arrangements to work with this person outside of the place I found him and am now getting super high quality writer at a fantastic rate.

keep testing different writers at different sites my friend, and try and narrow it down to a few that really fit your groove.
