What are the risks buying web traffic to boost your Alexa ranking?

First off, I know Alexa rankings are BS, but I have a specific reason for which I need to increase it.

I'm considering using https://www.10khits.com/ to do this, but don't know if there are hidden risks involved. Does anybody have any experience here?

Thanks!

I think that the website you mentioned above is traffic exchange website, so it`s time consuming to get traffic from this site because it won`t send quality traffic nor give your website any value. `

    The risks are simple:

    - 99.99% zero leads
    - 10,000 clicks from a robot, that don't even fill in empty fields on your optin-box
    - You lose money (obviously)
    - At the end of the day.... you gain nothing.

Be wary you can end up getting hits from some really shady sources. That might put your site into a "bad neighbourhood" and get your site blacklisted by Google. That'll destroy the value of a site pretty quick...

don't listen to that guy's it's a very ignorant thing to state that google would somehow know the source of your alexa traffic and then punish you for it lmao that is so ridiculous you have no idea apparently.

According to Google is not aware of the totality of the traffic to your site, unless you have Google's Analytics installed.Google has repeatedly stated that it does not use it's Analytics data for ranking purposes, it would be absurd if they did !
Traffic bought or exchanged for traffic sake will not provide any benefits whatsoever !

The traffic might only help for indexing and probably help your alexa ranking which is the aim here judging from your question. However, in terms of optin, sales its zero, also you will be killing the reality of your site because the traffic is not real you wont see the true picture of where you are and what needs to be done.
    Its just my opinion.

honestly raising your alexa ranking is the totally wrong point of buying traffic and helps you none whatsoever.

think about it. alexa ranking is supposed to represent overall 'reach' of your site in terms of real human visitors. having a high alexa ranking should be the END RESULT of your traffic being huge, sticky, and frequent (usually we call this viral).

buying cheap useless 10 second visitors by the truckload may raise your alexa ranking but the traffic is crap worthless other than that. if it's automated, or human, nonetheless the traffic is only there for a split second, then gone, very tiny percent may actually engage.

compared to a REAL alexa ranking where 99% of the huge traffic they get is engaging daily, (imagine facebook) etc.

so what value does an 'artificially high' alexa ranking have if the traffic is not even real and leaves your site as soon as they arrive?

what you have is almost nearly a scam, anyone attaching value to the site because of such an easily manufactured alexa ranking is being duped themselves.. pure and simple.

Never ever use traffic exchange sites or buy clicks - you will get your site banned from Google - especially adsense - they can pick up how you get your traffic - they have had like 12 updates in the past two years alone, if your trying to get a good ranking to flip your site (just guessing) dont do what you intended to - there is no way to game google - build a quality site - post quality content everyday/weekly at least, focus on certain key words basically do the right thing and dont try any short cuts - that will be your down fall

I do not think that it helps your site too much because I doubt that this traffic what they provide is real, or if it is real it has very low quality . You have also other options to look for quality cheap traffic and that's facebook for example. Which is much more reliable source I think. If they told on site that this traffic will boost alexa rank this doesn't mean that it is true.

I suggest you not buy traffic packages from traffic exchange or other similar sources. It will only provide you junk and bot traffic which drastically increase your site bounce rate. Better focus on natural and organic traffic.

The only way bought traffic like the OP proposes will help his Alexa ranking is if that traffic has the Alexa toolbar installed. I'm guessing that most traffic bots don't.

I might be wrong (yes, it has happened once or twice before ), but about the only reason I can think of for wanting to artificially inflate a site's Alexa ranking is to make a poor site look more valuable than it is before dumping it.

Dead on b*lls accurate my friend. I have no idea why anyone would even care about Alexa rankings anymore anyway, even if they were going to buy a site.

It certainly wouldn't affect my decision to purchase a site or not. If I see a site that I really like and the price is right then I don't worry too much about how much traffic it's getting. I'll buy it because I know that I can take it and turn it into a more valuable site.

One thing that I have learned is in 2016 a site is nothing if it doesn't have incredible content. I know from experience that it doesn't matter how much traffic you throw at a site. If the site doesn't have great content that grabs people's attention and keeps it, then it doesn't matter if it has a high Alexa rank.

I'm just not sure what information can be learned from an Alexa rank nowadays. We know there are many ways it can be manipulated, so why does it still carry so much weight?

I would much rather take the time and publish some incredible content on my site and let it collect social shares, relevant backlinks, and organic traffic. Once that starts to build momentum it become pretty easy to start building a list. You could also monetize it with product reviews, selling ad spots and guest posts. Once you have a good size list built up and are pulling in some decent income from the website, that's when you can then flip it for a HUGE ROI.

I'll openly admit I have only flipped a couple of sites. It's not really my main income stream, but I can surely see there is plenty of money to be made if it's done right. Inflating traffic stats and Alexa rank is definitely NOT the right way to do it.

Why Increase Alex Ranking Without Sales or Leads

Risks are clear. Wasted money, time, effort, junk traffic, zero leads. If you want to boost alexa ranking, keep posting SEO optimized content and you can use FB to boost your content. You get cheaper traffic because this one isn't trash, you can get leads, and you can get likes if you have a fan page which you must.
